mother promised me to buy my first smartphone this december and nokia e5 is my choice. But then she changed her mind and i feel so bad about it. :(

At first I was so excited about owning Nokia E5 that i purchased it in the month of march i.e. this handset was newly launched here, but now everytime I see it i feel like so bad for my choice because nothing works properly in it no applications nothing I'm so badly dissatisfied with it and even my flash light is yellow when i went to its gallery to get it repaired they made me more angry by saying that mine is'nt faulty handset and this handsets were specially launched.. damn absurd it is this purchase made me lose all ma faith and loyalties that i had with NOKIA AND SO I WOULD NEVER EVER WISH TO GET ANY OTHER NOKIA HANDSET IN MY WHOLE LIFETIME..!

I don't know what you mean, but if its 'Maps' you mean, connect ur pc to internet, then connect ur phone to pc, open Nokia/Ovi Suite.. Then click on maps, there you can erase all old maps and download new ones...

Sam, 11 Dec 2011Is there anyway to stop this phone from hangingPhones hang due to too many apps running at the same time, especially if they are running from an improperly formatted m card. You may try the following:
1. Backup ur m card using Nokia Suite.
2. Format the card using the phone's format tool, not thru Windows.
3. Restore its content.
4. E5 has ample internal memory, so try to move frequently used apps to phone memory. Ensure that you leave about 30mb free though.
5. Always exit properly from running apps before closing them.
6. If problem persists, try a hard reset (*#7370#)

[deleted post]i also faced this problem.but now ok.first check your sim placed correctly.then if its not the problem,restore your phone.don't restore it from settings.you can type *#7370# onyour screen.then automatically appear the restore option.normally the code of nokia is 12345.before it pls make ur contacts others as back up.remove memory card and sim before restoring.

Menu>Cntrl Panel>Settings>Phone>Network>Network Mode. Then make sure it is set to Dual Mode.

Fixed-focus?? why??
if only it had autofocus.... it would have been great....

m nt satisfied with this phone. since the day i bought it im facing netwrk problem. in basement it dznt catch signals .i put my sim in other sets they all worked well bt weh ever i use this cell it dznt give netwrk coverg. can any one guide me wat shud i do???
i went to nokia care they said compare it with any other nokia E5 does any one of u facing same problem???

While taking photo or clicking the camera the beep sound occurs, is ther any option to mute or remove the beep sound.

I just bought this handset and found very handy and good UI.
Only one prob is that it hangs some time in some pf the features...
Camera clarity is not upto the mark as it has to click pics in night mode then only pic can be perfect.
Flash is not good..

salmankhan, 07 Dec 2011my camera result is not clear ple help me Remove the plastic covering the camera lens... And try to use flash only when 'extremely' neccessary.

recentlr i've restored my phone to factory defaults by hard reset. (*#7370#). I forgot my memory card password which i put at the time of purchase. How can i open the memory card without password. I've tried it on my PC as well. Still unusable. Kindly help...
