I have noticed that after updating to the latest fw, if I switch off my phone, it switches on automatically. Anybody facing this issue?

..how is the net speed anyway when it comes to downloading a large file mbps..?

I am using E5 from june2011, its softwar... moreremember that if u are using the ovi suit or nokia internet suit with d fone u need to configure or put the right access point name(APN),username and password of the network u are using and equally pit the same APN, username and password on the fone. With these done u are good to go with ur fone as modem and its very fast too.

Press Options and the Edit. Then chage the resolution. I shrink my pictures to below 200KB anytime i want to send them.

I am using E5 from june2011, its softwar... moreTry this first.
Menu>Cntrl Panel>Connectivity>USB. Then set USM connection mode to PC Suite then set ask on connection to 'No'. Now connect phone and wait for at lease 60 seconds. If this does not work.
Backup all content of the phone you need, like contacts, notes etc using Nokia Suite or even if its the older Ovi Suite. Then manually backup your memory card contents to a folder on your Computer. Remember to back up the folder 'cities' too if you use Ovi Maps.
Now hard reset your phone using this code *#7370# (this will totally wipe your phone memory and restore to factory settings). Now format your memory card. Then restore backup to memory card first manually too, then insert and restore the backup from Nokia Suite.

..but do you think 2mb size is too much for a 5megapixel cam and yet fixed focus.?
..i've compared this E5's 5mp cam to S.E elm,E72,e71,they all have autofocus..
..s.e elm only 600kb+ for its 5mp a.focous cam,and for e72 i forgot,i guess 500kb-600kb+ and for e71 200kb+ only for its 3.2mp a.focus cam..
..im planning to buy e5 as txting phone and at the same time a camera phone for its 5mp and a flash and yet i was disappointed for reaching the size of 2mb..=(
..cant send that 2mb for mms y'know...=(
..i am confuse which to buy now with a budget range just like of e5...

Hi everyone....
I am using E5 from june2011, its software version is 081.004 (recently updated)
it has a very fast speed and multitasking and much more with a low price....
Hey friends I am facing one major problem (since I purchased this phone) that is whenever I connect my phone to PC in PC suite mode via data cable and try to use PC Suite or OVI Suite to use File Manager or Internet, computer shows a message that is ''mobile phone rejected the operation'' and I can't use PC suite or OVI suite to connect Internet. I have checked it to many PC with a latest version and old versions of PC Suite and OVI Suite.
But when I connect phone to PC in mass storage mode, it works fine and I can use memory card as a pen drive and same things when I connect mobile via Bluetooth it work fine without any error and I can Connect Internet (only drawback is that battery goes to low).
So friends can you please tell me about this error, is it a phone's firmware problem or phone's hardware problem... Please reply..... I am waiting for your great responses...

I had same problem bt i was able to toupdate my fone at last.wen I connected my fone to pc via ovi there were 2 updates: ovi(84MB) and fone (196MB). To update d ovi was hell so I went ahead to update d fone I downloaded the 196MB complete and started installing, behold half way it stopped and say connection to fone tru ovi lost. For several times I tried again but no result. So I went tru google (nokia ovi latest suit ) then it toook me to a link then to nokia europe den selected my device(E5) den click download then it brought my fone out with 7 available download for it, I then click ovi suit (84MB) i downloaded it uninstall the former ovi and install the new one(a very sweet looking ovi in deed) then I connected my fone and search for update it brought out 179MB and I click update. It was downloaded and installed successfully without any problem. My fone now has version 081.004. Try it dis way and see.(I used 3:5G network to do all these within 30mins). If u cant get the ovi send me ur mail to andyameh@ovi.com so that I can send the file to u.

One of the older Version did even resume downloading update after it failed. I don't know if it still does that.. But if Ovi Suite doesn't work well, use NSU.
