i wana ask tht i m new to OVI MAPS so i dont abt GPS & Other systems bt definitely it is wuite helpful
whn i open it is just showing me the cities of my country nt the detail of cities.
ma frnd told me he is using GOOGLE MAPS 4 the same set & getting every detail.
plz help me in detail how can i have detail of my city or anyother one in which i m living in ....

Okay, i have two temporary fixes to the issue to screen brightning up by itself.
1. Buy 'Privacy Screen Guard' from your local accessories dealer. This is i dark plastic that is put over ur Screen. As far as i'm concerned, it has three purposes.
A, It protects ur screen from scratching
B, It gives you the privacy you need when you are in a public place, for example, if you are in a pub/bus/train/even in school, or any other public place the person next to you wont be able to see 'a thing' on ur screen. So u can send ur confidential mails ANYWHERE you are.
C, It helps fix this screen brightening up stuff. Because of its dark and thick nature it won't let too much light into ur eyes.
2. Increase the Light time out of your phone in Display settings inside personalization which is inside general insde Settings. Coz i doubt if you are using ur phone, u can wait longer than one minutes before u press a key, so this kinda helps, just dat ur batt3 might run down quickly. Lol. Sorry. Read backwards to get the path.. Kinda rushing my typing...

I m facing problem with 5 MP camera in E5.May be some brightness is low...I dont know how to do the settings for more clearity and bright photo in E5.

Anonymous, 23 Mar 2011plz help every time i connect my e5 to pc via usb cable it ... moreThis is because ur phone is set to Mass storage mode by default when you connect ur cable.
This is a temporary fix.
Do this Menu>Cntrl Panel>Connectivity>USB> then Change USB connection mode to PC Suite. Then press ok. Set 'Ask on connection' to Yes.
(Note dat phone might still restart when u select choose mass storage mode on connection)
Permanent fix.
Update your phone's firmware. Its v41.007 dat has dat issue. It is solved in firmware v42.014.. And u also get improved performance too.

The issue of screen brightening up has never bothered me, i never actually tot it was a big deal, and still don't think it is. But i'll look into it now, i'll check some of the settings, and even go as far as the hidden menu to check, if i don't find anytyn, i'll notify some guys at Nokia or just maybe, it might be from the firmware.

Sound is good, but for hearing music you need to use a good headphone to have full potential of the phone.

[deleted post]have you downloaed nokia's own pc suite software. i hope this may solve your problem. beware of using third party tools without knowing it's source!!!
