I have this E50
and i have sume word abot this e50 phone
this phone is not good for like a application, duval prosasar,messgeing and camera becz this phone have a onely 32mb RAM,sume time this phohe much more anging this phone dont have any fasterprosassar, this phone is working like a computer but west-st phone ad totally using upto 2006-2010

My dad gave this phone to me and I only used it for 3 or 4 months before changing to the Nokia 5300 XM. Throughout my usage, it wasn't that happy. The OS was laggy and when I send a text message, the phone freezed until the message is confirmed to be sent, only then it went back to normal. The stick navigation was very uncomfortable and wasn't all that friendly with my big thumb.
Bad things aside, there are some good stuff about this phone. The build quality was extremely good. I dropped it once or twice and barely any damage done. The keypad was comfortable and despite the laggy OS, it was very user friendly.

The reason is that it has a very small RAM size of 32MB

The phone is very handy i luv it. But why is it dat i can open 2 applications at once it'l alwys say standby memory ful thereafter it'l exit all my running applications.

Though it's very handy and nice compared to my last n70 bt I regret buyin dis phone hv can open 2go and opera mini @d same time. It'l alwys complain of standby memory ful thereafter exit all my applications. Makes me sick!

mg, 29 Nov 2011Pls how can i copy and past wit my E50 nokia?anybody can help me.1. Open the SMS message and forward it. You will the SMS text editable in the text editor.
2. Hold Edit Key and Press Arrow Keys (or Joystick) downwards to block the text. In certain higher end nokia phones you will find this edit button on the side of the phone (just like nokia e50).
3. Again press edit key and you will have copy option.
4. Now Open Notepad in your mobile. Now press edit button to paste text.
Thats it! The text is copied from SMS to your notepad application. This little trick could be really handy if you want to extract and save important information from SMS messages.

I have this phone since september of 2007.It have some problems with wearing out keys.Button on the top is keen to fall off.Letters on display are so small that they are hard to see even you have a good vision.Now my socket for memory card failed and does not work anymore.Connection socket of handsfree is loosing contact from time to time.Battery life is average- about 2,5 days without a charge and not much talking.So it is still alive,but suffered some loss of usability.

I use NOKIA E50 for more than five years. My problem is that sending of SMS lasts about 1 minute.
And digits on buttons becomes not visible after only two- three years of use

it works as computer it has a Cache memory when it gets full then is slows down sending messages, or gets slows in opening applications, or does the same as the case with you.
for this you have to formate the set
for this first of all save all your data
then start formating
to format your phon turn it off then turn it on by pressing 3,* and send buttion continuously
untill your phon gets on
on startin it will ask for time zone
thats the sign that your phon is formatted
it will definitely get a faster speed and you may open many application at the same time then.
