Can anybody tell me if the Symbian Operating system can be updated - EG: - from S60 V3.1 to maybe v4.0 or v5.0 etc?

I bought this phone recently and worked it well. I found the silence key bottom right corner not active. By pressing it the phone goes to silent mode normally. But Nokia intentionally made this key non- functional. It is not mentioned in the manual and the customer service does not know it. Nokia gave me a bad ride advising me to take the phone to its service centres etc all over the place. Many times rebooted and installed the software. the truth came out finally not from Nokia directly. Do not unerstand Nokia's intentions. The customer service is very disappointing really in this case. I would not trust Nokia in future as I did in the past. Be cautious.

few changes I noticed after recent upgrade (02FEB09):
- All installed software gone except GMaps & Garmin
- Internet Radio
- Search Internet & My Phone capability
- Slightly faster response
- "Download" is tidier

Nokia E51 has been discontinued in some mobile stores, I think Nokia is getting ready to announce Nokia Stella - successors to the E51.
Nokia Stella and the Terra - successors to the E51. Both will run S60 V3.2 and are expected to have AGPS with integrated compass, 3MP camera with LED flash and WiFi. The Terra is a little bit different for Nokia, as it is expected to have a hybrid Qwerty keypad, similar to that found on the BlackBerry Pearl.

Can i have a leather case for the E51 just like E71? I am getting Scratches on my Phone. I desperately need a leather case.

hello all, was wondering anyone of u (E51 users) experience this faulty? where every 20sec after i received or made a call out, the recipient he/she is unable to hear anything from me but i can hear that clearly. is it due to the hardware faulty from the mic or firmware's need update? cheers! xoxo

How t... moreIn answer to your question the full version of this software for editing can be purchased over the air directly from the company but many believe that the dimensions of the keypads of devices such as the E51 and even the E71 are limiting for anyone wishing to do more than the most basic of editing.

hello nokians, i am using this phone. it is wonderful.really appreciate nokia team to include all those valuable functions and features in this slim beauty.the voip works well with me here in qatar.the problem i faced so far is, while using earpiece for a voip call the other party cant hear me! the problem solved only by using head phone.cheeers
