          i bought a E51 2da and everything is working fine but in my web browser all i c is pictures and the fonts come as blue lines...no fonts can b seen...i went into settings and tried increasing the fonts size and i also re selected load to lead all in load content in load option....some 1 pleaze help my...:'(

            Robot, 01 Jan 2009Hi, Original_Jamaican and Company! I'm new here in the f... moreROBOT, it's strange to hear that BestCallRecorder played a beep on your E51. It didn't play a beep on mine. I have not tried BestDictaFone.

            The only problem I had with BestCallRecorder is that when I played the recorded calls there was silence. It showed the date and time the call was recorded but there was no audio. I didn't spend any time investigating the problem as I was just testing out some apps I downloaded.

            Can you send me the links where you got BestCallRecorder and BestDictaFone so I can try them on my E51 and see what happens ?

            Together I'm sure we can solve this problem.

              man this phone is superb quality!! last night i recorded the fireworks showdown outside my house & the video quality playback was good!! ^0^ i love it!

                So far Yahoo only supports Blackberries and Sidekicks smartphones. Hope they will put Symbian on the list soon.

                If you would like to speak to your friends on Yahoo you can use a program called Fring. Fring is a very good application which shows you when your contact is typing a message...just like the PC version of Yahoo.

                Fring also supports MSN (Windows Live Messenger), AOL and others. Fring also supports VOIP calls for MSN and a few other Messengers but not for Yahoo Messenger.

                There are a few other 3rd party applications which also supports Yahoo but Fring is the ONLY one I see worth mentioning.

                In my opinion the E51 isn't complete unless you put Fring on it.

That's the price you pay for a business phone. Coming from a Nokia 6300 it was hard for me to accept at first but I have gotten used to it.

                  Fortunately there's a solution BUT it will cost you. Go to the DOWNLOAD! tool in your E51's menu, update the catalog and select the CATALOGS category after. You should see a 'Premium Downloads' (or something to that effect) as a sub-menu under CATALOGS.

                  Enter the PREMIUM category and go through the sub-categories. Eventually you will see an animated smileys offering with a price tag of about 5.99 GBP (pound sterling).

                  To be honest, based on what I have seen, these smileys look better than the ones that comes with other Nokia phones like the 6300 etc. The smileys which comes with this premium service looks more like the smileys found in Yahoo Messenger & MSN Messenger aka Windows Live Messenger.

                  Check it out and tell me the outcome. I will try my very best to find some free animated smileys for you...even though I tried previously without success.

                        Hi, Original_Jamaican and Company!

                        I'm new here in the forum. I have the E51 and N95 8GB. I love both of two, each in its own way. Excellent cell phones!

                        You wrote that exist an application that can be installed on the E51 and that collocutor
                        on the other side will not hear the beep when the record conversation.
                        I am installed 2 applications and on both the beep is heard every few seconds while recording the conversation. BestCallRecorder and BestDictafon.
                        Please, can you write the name of the applications that can recording conversations without beep sound?

                                Plz help me out. I neither have smileys (cartoons)in my e51 to be used in text msgs nor it displays such cartoons in text msgs if sent from other fones. What should i do?

The E51 and the likes are s60 which means they are smartphones and they are open to applications which can manipulate internal settings...something phones like the 6500 can't do.

                                  For example, if you record a phone call with the 6500 a beep is heard every few seconds...which makes the other person know they are being recorded and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. With the E51 and other s60 phones, the built-in recorder does beep but you can install 3rd party recording applications which will override the built in recorder and allow you to record phone calls without the other person knowing they are being recorded.

                                  This is just an example of the differences between regular phones like the 6500 and smart phones like the E51.

                                      I'm glad I made the plunge in getting the E51. It was worth it.

                                      Funny though there is something about 6230 which to me stands out over every other phone. It's doesn't have Wi-Fi, 3G or the likes BUT the features it has are rock bottom solid and it will always be a legendary phone. Afterall, Nokia themselves said it's precision.

                                      LUIS, I am supposed to be getting the E71 early 2009 but I may keep my E51 for a long time just the same as I love it.

                                      When you get your N79 please use it to take some photos of you and your beloved girlfriend and show off the photos to me (smile).
