Please help me.I have the instrument with me and I dono what to do,the shop I bought it from isnt helpful either,Nokia care sucks!I have a new e51 lying around useless.I dono what to do with it.

C... moreMONTY, I'm sorry to hear about your battery life problem. Mine works fine. I can easily get a full business week if I use it for non-extended calls only.
Do you have GSM mode selected only OR you have both DUAL mode selected (GSM/3G) ? If you don't use 3G then there's no need to have it enabled. That decreases battery life.
Also, you can try setting your OPERATOR MODE to Manual instead of AUTOMATIC. When it's set to AUTOMATIC it scans for your network continously.
Also ensure that no programs are running in the background, not even contacts (smile).
Some 3rd party programs run in the background but doesn't show in the taskbar. Anti-virus and blacklist programs which block unwated calls. If you installed any programs like those beware.
Ensure that settings like WLAN AVAILABILITY is set to OFF as this scans for WLAN networks every second or so.
Other than the aforementioned, you can try discharging your battery completely until the phone cannot turn back on and charge it overnight. Repeat the process once or twice more thereafter.

For the design I gave E51 a grade of 9, It's an all in one phone complete with Wi-fi, Mp3, Mp4 and a 2MP Camera. Your money's worth of Buying this Phone!! Highly recommended!! BAttery is good!

To all who have a good experience of this phone.
Just bought this phone recently and i must say that it is superb phone.
I have one problem and i hope it will be solved here as i am new to this forum.
My phone is made in Finland i bought it in Dubai. The problem i am facing is that when i open web pages like google those small letters wont appear on the screen and you just see the underline and of course when you move the courser it will show you there is a link but you will not know where you are going.
I also tried to open the gsmarena website also wont display the upper letters found when you open gsmarena in your phone and same applies when i open BBC sports the link to myclub wont appear.
I have tried to go to web settings and changed page options and default encoding to automatic,western europe,unicode but it didn't solve the problem.
Pease Winura and others who have massive experience in this unit help me out.

@Raj thnx for the info but the 5320 expressmusic is not yet avaible in South Africa, now i have to choose between n73 & e51

When you install Nokia E51 PC Suite on your Toshiba Satelite L20 Notebook, it removes the driver for the Wireless Lan. It has to be a conflick between the 2. Who will I need to contact to help sort this out? At this point it's a choice between the Nokia or PC Wireless, it's either both working or the phone goes back..

More than the SAR, the Battery Life gives me headaches.
Charged it overnight and the mobile surprises me when I find it Off at Noon. I can't enable warning tones as I'm using TotalRecall to record my conversations. Can't carry a spare battery as I'd have to remove #1 to charge the other.
Only soln: Charger at Home, Charger at Office, Mobile Charger in Car ###

this phone has a vga car model on the next g plain text style fabric which would only be known as life. Life in the desert is not great if you only have a glass jar of milk. im so thirsty sayz ron burgendy
