i kinda defined my mailbox short... morewell in my opinion using gmail as your default email is kind of pointless. because you can simply use the gmail application in your phone. i suggest you use 'mail for exchange'. its this blackberry sort of thing you can use even if you're a prepaid user. I am from Sri Lanka and i am using it on my phone. if you're interested i can guide you to set it up. its very easy. i really would recommend that application to anyone.
Regarding your battery life, it will take some time to perform well. i mean not that long but a few days. since its been just a week or so you've bought it keep an eye on the performance of the battery for the next couple of days. if not you can buy one from softlogic. but be advised it will cost you some money. sometimes double the price you might find the same battery from another place which they call "ORIGINAL".
Which part of sri lanka are you from? from where did you buy the phone? and how much did you pay for it? its nice to see a Sri lank an in the forum.

hey Winura...and others
i kinda defined my mailbox shortcut key to my gmail a/c... sthg got a lil screwed along the way and i only receive very very old msg's...and the worst part is...i cant even delete them... i use a wifi connection..wat can i do??
plus...my batt life is only abt 2 days with normal use..i take it its not very good..winura.. i used ur 8*4*4 hr method too..
winura...u Srilankan? if so where can i get an original batt if this one is not so good..i got this phone abt a week ago

Winura and E51 enthusiasts...
Has anyone been able to install Skype on the E51. There was a post back a while ago saying that Skype only provides software for Nokia N800/N810. If Skype is not the answer what other VoiP provider will work with this phone?

Nokia (E51) has really lived up to its slogan 'Connecting People'. I have been using the E51 since Dec 07 with problems solved through this forum of different people from various parts of the world. All with one common interest, through a very good business phone and, a common goal to serve, share opinions and solve problems regardless of race or religion together....

nice phone but the rubber on and off switch so soft. Could not use my fingernails anymore to make it work, i have to use slightly pointed things to press it.

But the majority of IMP software are priced. So do you know where I could get serial numbers for mobile apps.
I'm looking for apps like:
Music Player, Video Player, Office Editor, Calls Recorder, Antivirus, Panoramic Cam, IR Remote Control software, File Password locker utility.

TO GARUDA:
As I see it the E51 is the clear winner overall.
The E51 has a faster CPU.
The E51 has more memory. In fact it has more than 3 times the memory of the N73.
The E51 has more RAM, system memory.
The E51 weighs less and is much slimmer.
The E51 has a whole lot more colours at 16.7 million opposed to the N73 262,000 colours. The .7 part alone is more than the N73's colours.
MOST IMPORTANTLY THE E51 HAS WI-FI / WLAN.
The ONLY way I would advise you to get the N73 over the E51 is if PHOTO TAKING is your primary reason in choosing one of these phone. It is evident that the N series perform better at photography than the E series. Afterall, the N series main focus is photography while the E series main focus is business and connectivity.
Other than that the E51 is the clear winner.

I am planning to buy new phone and confused wheather to buy N73 orE51.
As N73 is having better camera then E51,but same time features of E51 give temptations towards it.
Guide me what to do it is urgent.

It all depends on the region the phone was intended for.

Hi! OJ, Winura and many others... by reading your comments and all that blah blah, for last one month, I took a chance and bought this mobile, black colour.
To my surprise it was very beautiful, while in pictures it looked somewhat cheap.
Before this I used to purchase Sony Ericsson...
So finding lil bit difficult to operate its functions...
Can you people please let me know from where I can get its cracked softwares...
Also, I'm finding difficult to confiure my home wifi with it, please any1 do let me know .
I'm using DSL connection with a router, that asks for username and password in my windows.
Now I cant find username and password in e51 settings and couldn't understand tht technical terms like WEP wpa/wpa2.
pls pls do tell me... waiting for reply...

And Yes! The camera shutter sound's there even in Silent profile / OFFLINE mode.
Third party Cam software(such as cAam) does the job of Silent Clicking but only basic photos. You can't zoom/set brightness/change modes etc.
