I think it's still the best smartphone available (assuming you don't need a qwerty keyboard). You can view my review I wrote a while back:

Anonymous, 31 Jul 2008Does the e51 have an edit key like the one in 3650? This ed... moreyes this can perform that operation. all you have to do is press and hold the # button while you move the cursor with the d-pad left or right. once you start highlighting the 'copy' function appears on the screen. once you press it the text you highlighted will be copied for pasting.

as for pasting something that you have already copied, simply press and hold the # key when your at the appropriate place and press 'paste'.

This is a "SMARTPHONE". if the 3650 can do it don't have any doubts whether 'can this do it?'.

For sync with your carkit (contacts) (Audi/BMW/Parrot) just install the contactdownloadsoftware, install it and all your contacts are shown on the screen of your carkit. Works also for N-series.

                                      My friends,

Last night I had another reason to love the E51 a lot more.

I still have my Nokia 6300 which I will be selling soon.

I'm yet to transfer all my contacts and other important info from the 6300 to my new E51.

Normally when I get a new Nokia phone, which is usually once a year, I normally use my PC and Nokia PC Suite to back up the data from the old phone then transfer it all to the new phone straight from the PC.

This time around I told myself I wanted to try and do a direct phone to phone transfer...the only problem is that the 6300 (being a series 40) doesn't have a transfer tool like the E51.

I saw where it was said that once a compatible Nokia phone have the transfer option then two Nokia phones could sync with each other with that compatible Nokia phone SENDING the info to the new one.

What I found out on my own is that if the OLD phone doesn't have a transfer option and the new one has it then you can use the new phone to PULL the data from the old phone. I find that to be an incredible feature.

Last night I decided to fool around with both phones and I saw where the E51 have a 'Retrieve' feature in the transfer application so I decided to try it to see if I could get all my data from the 6300.

When I tried it the E51 told me to turn on bluetooth on the other phone so I did just that and to my surprise the 6300 asked me if I want to sync and send all data to the E51. I was so amazed.

There are three types of data which can be transferred using that method:

                                      1. Contacts

                                      2. Calendar Entries

                                      3. Notes

If you want additional stuff like text messages (SMS) you will have to use a PC for that.

But I believe it's excellent that you are able to transfer those 3 main data sources without the need for a PC.

I'm convinced that the E51 is the next best thing to a PC...as a reviewing company said: "if size is a factor then the E51 can be considered as a laptop replacement.

The other day I wondered (and had a strong feeling) if the E51 could network with PCs and thanks to WINURA and his scouring the net, we both learnt that it can network with any PC via Wi-Fi and do anything like an ordinary PC to PC networking.

The E51 is money well invested.
