i have a nokia e51 and i made a lock code on it but i don't remember it so it took to nokia and they told me that it will need a software reinistallation but l don't wan't to reinstall the software because i got the phone a week ago so i caled one of my freinds and he told me how to open the phone by pressing on three bottons at the same time so now i wanted to change the lock code but it needs the old code to make a new one

I got this phone as a replacement for my 6120c which is taken by my wife, i bought for MYR870 (USD261)here is my short review.
The Firmware is
100.34.20
29-09-2007
RM-244
Nokia E51 (14.1)
The Good;
+big keypad compare to my previous 6120c phone
+larger battery capacity then 6120c
+got wi-fi
+got 3 extra button (programmable shortcut)
The Bad:
-camera without flash, all picture taken got green noise,
-video recorded with lower frame rate than 6120c,
-no 2nd camera for video call
-music player didn't support Stereo Widening
The Worst!!
------all side button are really hard to press, you need to use your fingernail to press it. trust me, you won't be able
to switch On or Off without using both hand, thanks to the very suck side button(1 hand to hold the phone, the other to press the power button)
I can live with the Bad part but the Side button especially the power button really Sucks, because of these reason, I wont
recommend Nokia E51 to those intending to buy this phone.
If you can live without wi-fi, settle for 6120c

Jemi, 07 Jul 2008to winura can you plz tell me abt the performance of nokia... morewell to be honest with you i have not and there is no reason for me to use my phone as a modem. but you can use it. one touch access on your pc suit is the easiest way for you to connect to the internet. i have used the phone in a hot spot for browsing for just over 2 hours and the battery had more than 50% of the power left. so in your case i think you can browse non-stop for more than 2 hours guaranteed. but i'm sorry i cant tell the exact time on for how long you can browse in a single charge.

To WINURA:
Something is wrong with the 7th / 8th digit country code theory. Because I checked out a Nokia which was made in Brazil and the the 7th & 8th digit was 0 & 1 respectively and according to sources that depicts Finland as the manufacturer.
Same as my 6300, made in Hungary and 7th & 8th code is 0 & 1.

Hi all..i am getting my e51 on wensday i was wondering if the push to talk funtion (PTT) works the same as a 2way radio. would it work if u have 2 identical phones.and will skype work on this mobile?

Will you please tell if it will be wise to go for E71 right now as an upgrade from E51? Are the additional features like slightly bigger screen, qwerty, 3.2 mp cam with AF & FLASH, etc. Worth paying those extra money? And moreover, is E71 not over-priced right now? What should be it's right price, according to you, in Indian Currency? Please reply, as I am a bit confused! Thanks a lot in advance!
