ShotGun, 25 Jun 2008I think the built-in web browser in E51 does not support .R... moreIt is not possible to download .RAR files. even if you install the .RAR software you cant download. but you can download ZIP files.

hey i have this wonderful phone i am really enjoying using it , but My Only Problem that i Cant Find an Compatible Screen Savers it want a " SWF " SHOCK WAVE Extension so any body could tell me a Site or a Converter to SWF !! Thnx in advance .

The e51 is a great lookin and performing phone. Can the e51 play ngage games and if so were can i find the ngage application compatible with e51 thanx.

I have WLAN at home, how easy is it to set it up and to use on the E51? on a scale: 1-a monkey can do it and 10- get a computer wizz to help you!

You just cannot navigate. But you can search anywhere in the world if you have network connection. And the route simulation is just awesome and very useful. All this without GPS.

Yes, it works.
Go under Gallery>Tracks>Options>Show albums and the E51 will nicely show each of the folders as albums with DISC icons. When you select any album, all the tracks inside will be played!
Just beware when you are doing this for the first time after you transferred many music files, it might take quite a while to scan. Let it do its work, it is not hanging.
I have to say again the phone speaker is designed for the phone to lay flat on the table. And it is great!

It works just make sure you hold the key long enough. I just did it on my E51.

Got it working thru both phone browser and Opera mini. However, mini returns a higher bitrate 86 kbps 3gp which sound very good. The phone browser will yield a 3gp of 65kbps.
Unfortunately, 3 days ago my Opera mini also give back the same 66kbps 3gp :-( Trying yet to figure out why. Is it because after I install Google Map or Opera Mini settings (which I swear I did not change).
Of course other solutions which require applet installations like emtube or mobitubia are all working fine but beware FLV streaming can be data costly! A good web site is vtap.com, which I felt is mobile friendly. You can even choose what resolution to stream.

Hai guys. Just want to know if i will be able to use nokia maps 2.0 without a gps device, thus just using the Nokia E51. 6 days to go before i get my new phone!

The E51 I purchased has the 2mp camera, however recently on my handset, every time I attempt to use the camera, I get the error message; general feature not supported. Does anyone have this same issue?

For nº 1 answer, th... morewell if you're having a lot of people by the same name you will be getting a lot of results when you search for a person with a particular name. to avoid that you will have to type in the first name and then the first letter/s of the second name to get the result. you should keep in mind when you're using an E-Series phone some procedures may vary than a normal phone.
and read the owners manual, the bit about the music player. you might be able to find a solution for your play list problem. i'm not much of a music fan so i don't use the music player a lot. even if i do i just listen to a few tracks randomly.

For nº 1 answer, that OK!
For nº 2 answer, The display it´s OK in order the name and laqst name. But, the searsh is not OK. If I searsh the one name, for example, Petter , the all names that have Petter in my phonebook is showing, and not only the firt name the Petter. I think that´s isn´t configure... The others phones in nokias I can do this: Searsh onlu by firt name. Understand?
Answer nº 3: This E51 it´s differente others Nokias phones... I has a 6131, and this device I can player in folders directilly by card, without creat play list. In this E51, if I have a lot of music for creat de playlist, I have that do one music for one music.. It´s very work´s!!!
I resolve this problem installing a software simbyan, that´s read folders... But I think that resolve by phone directilly..

E51 will be ... morewhen it comes to mailing the E51 is just fine. i use "mail for exchange" on mine and its brilliant. or you can always get the blackberry facility on your phone if you like. both ways you will be getting all the essential mailing features on your phone. add attachments, download attachments etc. even though the E51 don't have the qwerty keyboard its very easy to type your mails and other documents with T9. i normally send 5 - 10 emails per day and i use my phone most of the time. its just brilliant.
