hi there, can anyone help on how to switch off the "clicking sound" nokia E51 makes when
1. taking a picture
2. start video capture

Indeed think they just changed the number of the firmware. anyone could find something news or improved ?

Whenever I add (by X-ing) a Recipient for a text message, the option "OK" does not appear anymore on the left key. The "back" continues to be on the right key.
After I restored my factory settings, it still did not work.
Then I restored complete factory settings "7370", backed up my files, restored my files, and it still did not work.
I removed sim card, removed battery but again to no avail.
my phone worked for 2 months before this happened. "OK" button always appeared before.
anybody experienced this?
grateful for help on this.

i removed my factory protected layer the dot was not due to the factory protected paper.its in the screen and i have given for repair they will be giving me back on wednesday lets see what happens:)

denis88, 08 Jun 2008where you was found it? how you install it on your phone? F... moreto denis ,you can easily check it by the software updater provided with your PC suit.OR you can find it on nokia's website by searching soft for e51.

I bought this phone last week from Nokia Concept centre in Bangladesh.First two day it rebooted twice while playing video files.But once I've upgraded the firmwire the problem has gone.You can check it too.But honestly I don;t know what is this firmwire anyway?Can you help me?

sam, 06 Jun 2008Hi nokia employee I bought E51 like a week ago i found som... moresam, do you still have the factory protective layer on your screen? or any other protetective layers over your screen? It might have folded or damaged, giving an impression of a shining dot:D

I should do following in the test, delete FRING again from your mobile and re-install it again. Maybe it will solve the problem. Till now, never was informed about that problem. Try to re-install and come back here if still a problem

yes i have test it already. Wen i was t0ld to record anythng for 10sec, they played it. Nd it all w0rk fine. But when i try to call some or when they k0l me i cant hear anythng fr0m the other side. Wats with it? Btw, thanks 4 the fast rep.

HD, 07 Jun 2008I bought the E51 4 months ago and was very happy with it bu... moreThink you just had bad luck, bring th mobile back to the shop, that is why they give us warranty.To answer if the screen is a weak part is difficult to say not many E51 are already 4 months old.

josh, 07 Jun 2008im from d philippines when im using skype thru Fring nd cal... moredid you made the test call from FRING, where you need to speak 10 seconds, than you can check the Fring service. Do not see any reason why it should not work. Please try the test call first, than we will see what we need to do to help you

I bought the E51 4 months ago and was very happy with it but two days ago the screen stopped working without any direct reason. First tim this happens to me with a Nokia. Is this the screen a weak part of the E51?
