i buyed nokia e51 3 days ago, and I have problem with the upper steel cover. When I used, I hear creaky and I saw other E51 with no problems. I try to change the phone but they said no.
1 freez and a few error connections.

Personally I own an E51 and before get this I asking myself which is the best choice, E51 or E61i, if u compare the E51 with E61i you realised that E51 has the same features but more advanced(ex. (E51)GPRS class 32, EDGE class 32-(E61i) class 10 with same at EDGE, Memory E51 130mb - E61i 60mb, OS 9.2-OS 9.1, HSPDA 3.6mb/s - 384kb/s, the E51's CPU is higher speed than E61i with more RAM memory 96 vs 64) the rest is the same(camera, apps build-in, supported apps).
Now..E51 has a smaller screen than E61i, but E51 is very slide,stainless steel body, thin and E61i is a little bit big phone.
My personal opinion and sinceriously between this phones is E51!
I owned one and I am very satisf. is a powerful sexy slide phone!

You can store unlimited messages, but depends the memory card u use it, the phone has 130mb user data and u can store hundreds of msgs, but if u have a mem card u can select to receive all the msgs to be stored in the card, so calculate if u have a 2gb card, the storage is large!

whether it has a restricted memory for messeges or it can share other memory???????

I have read that, but the opinions are 50/50, like a guy said, SAR si based on electromangetic freqs and all the connection (e.BTh,WiFi,GPRS,etc)are possible only because these electromgn freq, from this phrase results that the values descending when ur phone has nothing,zero features, especially communication features! like I said before this is only SFiction and it's only for geeks who have big brains and all the day they are making many calcules!
So, I repeat for the last time!!!: if u want to buy this phone E51..buyed because u like his features, if u are afraid to buy this ph, don't buy cause after you will live ur life with afraids,scared that this phone will killed you when you're sleeping!

4gbenga..what u want from Nokia to give u the entire gallery of themes, sounds, apps??the QuickOffice with the editing option is present only at E90 or Nokia Communicators!Sorry, but U are a person who choose a phone who have the most unspecial features..like themes, apps, sounds(who YOU can Install yourself), choose a phone for something who you cannot be able to install!
I am agree with ur reviews about camera,or no focus,no flash, but this is not a multimedia phone!

when 6120c become better then E51??:)) U make me laugh, one thing is better -PRICE! is half cheeper, but has less features, and the 6210 case(body) isn't that hard or unbreakable, the keypad, screen, sound sux! and these aren't some reviews from a person who not tested, me and many from 6120c specification page says in that way!

SARvalues - many people say this stuff, that e51 has the highest val, but many phones have big values but people still buyin' them and they LIVE! i think that is a foolish to not buy because you see an article or a specification and it's scared you, 4 people who have this point of view please buy phones like 1110 or a phone who is Zero, or a house fixed phone :), me I take the rsk!

I bought the fone based on the high-rating on fone review sites but i know better now. I prefer the 6120 Classic to E51. The E51 cons are:
Video call: No front-camera
Camera: No flash
Music Player: WMA not supported. supports only MP3/AAC.
Ringtones: dull
Speaker: at the back
QuickOffice: View only
Theme: few
Games: nil
Messaging: cant use any number/email addy in in-coming message.
Download site: ea.mobile.nokia.com. doesn’t offer much

i have seen 3 nokia e51 till now, and all have the same problem with the upper steel cover...so i think they are all made the same...

But there is no limitation 2 store sms in 3110c and e51 inbox, dunno 2630, but i am sure 2630 has no limitation too..

Huffff!!
sorry...but you need to treat the keypad gently ..because if u push with power and defectuos..it is possible to be a "crap" in only 1 wk.
guys the keypad is very very cool, the 5way's also, is corect that is ver sensitive..but which phone aren't??? when I buy a 200 or 300 Euros phone I am a little bit gentile with it..it's like my lady :))

Dear friends,
I purched a new Nokia E51. its functionality is great!
The only problem:( with my phone is the upper steel cover which was not properly fixed to the body. Because of that problem when I pushed the scroll keys one edge of the screen glass was caved/sank in. this happened within one week usage!
My advice is that please carefully examine the upper cover (steel?) edges of the Nokia E51 before you purchase it.

the battery life depends very much the network coverage, the signal! because if u have full signal coverage the battery is Ok, when the signal is descending and you give calls or someone calls you the battery life descending much! I've seen that in provence(outside city) the battery lifetime si very low...so da big conclusion is that the battery lifetime depending the network signal coverage!
Guys..this is not a bad E51 thing or desadvantage..'cauz sorry but this phone is equal with a pc..look at N95..is a very smart phone but with GPS and Wifi..battery lifetime is 1-max2 days!

Baterry life 2-3 days max,talking time averege. This is the baterry of E51 real life.
