Hi - jsut ot let you all know. This is an excellent workhorse phone and it is fast .BUT right now- I think the software has bugs.
I ahd to remove the battery twice in a day because- many applications stopped working after changing from default settings - like the One Touch settings for the 4 dedicated keys- home ,contacts, messaging and calender.
Also ,the phone would not respond to calling a no from the calls lsited when you press the green Send button. Icons tend to disappear for a while if you use an application.
it is a good phone - no doubt- the WLAN is spectacular and it is a fast phone but watch out for the bugs or you will be disappointe.d I reckon one should wait for a firmware update .

I just got my E51 rose.Great cell.I also bought 4GB microSdHC card with it.Phone works great with it.

6500 have 16 Ram, but its non-OS phone, so 6500 have very fast respone.
I guess u r not familiar with OS or just newbie, so go for 6500 coz it will suit u better.

The charger that came with my Nokia E51 is the AC-5U. The charging time is about 1.30-2 hours.
The phone heats up a little bit when using the wireless lan to talk voip which i do, as i make long calls for about 30-40 minutes, but if u talk e.g. 10-15 mins via wlan voip then it won't heat up that much, at least as not as much as my nokia N95 did!!
I have about 470 contacts in my phone book and it opens them quickly no problem with that at all !.
I synced my contacts via the sync from the Internet via www.mobical.net , check it out.
Yesterday i installed nokia's Internet radio and podcast on it and they were great !
I even installed 3 UK Network's skype on it and it works fine.
But one thing that i am disappointed with it is that although it has a very fast processor it can't play video files very well, not like the N95, as i downloaded a movie on it which played well on my N95 but now has frame rate issues on the E51, i even decreased the bit rate of the movie from 500kb down to 250kb but still has freezing glitches, so i assume it hasn't been designed for multimedia like the N95 or N82.

Why the SAR is so high? The phone is not more powerful or so ever than other similar models; it's not the metal parts of body either.
Any ideas, please?

i am planning to buy a new phone, considering between this nokia E51 or samsung i550?
any suggest or opinion which one better for browsing internet with built in mobile phone web browser?

Have this phone for almost two weeks. I have the Rose Steel one. To me, it seems to be the coolest color. I have been a fan of Sony phones all the while when I finally decided to give Nokia a try again. Am surprised at what this baby can do. Clear and big enough screen, excellent steel body built, look and feel (no creaks what so ever), love the keypad (except for the two top shortcuts which I find it rather hard to press), fast response, MPS (works with my A2DP bluetooth), radio, QuickOffice, memory slot MircoSD (works fine with a 2gb), Wifi .....
The downside is it got no front camera for video call and i find the speaker only average.
Overall - still a good powerful phone.

1. Glad 2 hear that e51 charge quicly, but how long?
2. What charger at e51 box? Is it ac-3e/ac-4e ?
3. I believe e51 respon extremly fast than my e50, when i bought e50, i feel e50 way faster than my previots 3230. But when my contact list reach 500, i feel my e50 slower when acses phonebook. When my inbox message reach 400, i disapointed again that my e50 slower 2 acses its message. Still faster than 3230 thou...
Slower only when acses message & phonebook only. Do u have problem that on ur e51?
4. I plan 2 replace e50 with e51 coz i think e51 keypad better than e50 and e51 battery better 2, i'll need its wifi sometimes. I dont really care about its camera, music player, radio and hsdpa, coz maybe i use it rarely. I will set its network 2 gsm only coz i'll rarely use its 3g & hsdpa due 2 weak signal at my place. So i wont find any trouble with heat problem and battery life right?

Here at indonesia its over price, almost 700 euro and 1000 euro on its launching.
Indonesians crazy about this fone (but i am not one of them), so 9500 and e90 first launch around the world take place here at jakarta (indonesia).

Have it for a few days. 6310i, N70 and E51 are the best phones from Nokia ever. Only + for E51.
It's not a toy. It's a working horse!

Dear All
Have had the phone for 4 days now.
Bought it from ebay, for 235 pounds.
Screen is good but not as good as the nokia 6300 screen which i had before.
Battery life is average but at least better than nokia N95 (it lasted about 36 hours on heavy-moderate use).
I used voip via wlan so maybe that's why the battery drained so much?!
Very fast processor and opens files and everything very quicly.
Speaker volume very good.
Great dedicated keys.
Installed the following applications on it and they run fine:
1/gmail
2/operamini
3/google maps
4/freecall sip settings
5/fring
Truphone is not compatible with it yet.
Charges quickly.
Heats up a little bit when using voip as it uses a lot of battery and wireless lan.
Very light in weight but strong build.

Are u sure its euro dude? Not USD?
Here at indonesia its price less than 200 euro (3.1 million rupiah). 2GB microSD less than 20 euro, and car charger about 15 euro. Total less than 235 euro.
