Is everyone using this phone in the states? As I have never heard of AT&T. This phone was recently released on Telstra's NextG (850) network in Australia and the coverage is fantastic. 3G coverage is available everywhere you can get coverage, which is almost everywhere. Phone is nice and slim and good features. 2 thumbs up.

kayhan, you get 3G coverage with your E65? Well I guess that makes me SOL, because with my old 6120 Classic (850mhz also) I had no 3G coverage in my area, just EDGE. I guess it's just luck of the draw as to whether or not AT&T built 850Mhz 3G towers in your area, as it seems that most are 1900.
EDGE coverage, on the other hand, has been excellent for me - but it's just not fast enough!

What happened to the traditional 'C' and 'Pencil' keys?
Otherwise, considering the price I must say that the E51 looks like a steal of a deal. I wish Nokia would start using tri-band 3G though... I'm tired of not having US 3G frequencies. 850Mhz is a start, but it offers little to no coverage over AT&T. :(

Thanks everyone who replied ot the battery life issue, well i hope someone will post a good review of it and I will definetly know because 4.5 hours of talk time is slightly weak for this day and age (i think so anyway). I will never cheat on nokia so i hope they come up with some new battery.
Another question i have is, Is is possible to somehow reprogram the 'e-mail' shortcut key to go into messages. I doubt ill be uing it for emails cause thres no qwerty keypad so SMS shortcut would be nicer for me. If anyone know how to reprogram it that would be the bomb

Just got this phone yesterday im really happy with it. Although this is too early to make a conclusion about the phones reliability. The battery life is amazing reminds me of the older Nokia's. The size and feel of the phone is great too and it has some really cool applications for business users. The shortcuts on the phone are a real bonus. Ive used older symbion phones like the N70 and N80 and had software issues from day one. This however works very quick and has not froze at all.
"This phone costs 300 dollars at buy.com. Weird people here. It isn;y such a good phone. Nokia n95 is the best. Gigabyte is the best and beats all the companies. I win!!! Hahahahahahahaha!"
And as for the above comment the N95 is a totally different phone, different price and is for different users. Obviously Nokia make different phones to suit different needs so you cannot rule that the N95 is the be all of all phones otherwise all Nokia would produce is the N95.

I find it strange that this mobile is listed on the Nokia USA site, but says it's only WCDMA 850/2100. Most of the 3G in the United States is 1900 Mhz. Anyone have any ideas what's going on?

I would say 4.5 hours is GSM. 3G is always less talk time, probably half the time.

Can you change font sizes on E51? The E50 font is minute. That would be a definite negative if E51 has the same font size as E50 with no ability to change.

The specs are surely fantablous. I hope that the problems carried in its predecessor are not carried by the E51 - the E50 which I happily changed & used over 3 times in the series of my mobile phone usage, I think it has the best basic and advance key features any entrepreneur would like like Office compatibility(although without editing features), Basic Camera, Unlimited Phonebook, Unlimited Messaging, etc but the Network is genuinely weak. It does not WORK in normal areas and one actually has to come in open air to have secure conversation without the fear of losing signal. The reason of me buying 2 more times were the amazing features in the small pack but the poor signal was simply killing my work. The E51 seems promising and I hope it does not contain the same problem.

Re: Re: GPS
i wrote ... " gps CAPABILITY ".
had 4 other nokia smartphones (had 3250, 6680, 6630, e50), and had problems with the symbian, but e51 has no faults until now,( fast, precise)... i like it more than my late 6630 which i thought will never be surpassed. was rather dissapointed with the e50

Big Question here:
It sais its only got 4.5 hhours of talk time, is that on 3G or on GSM network. Is it possible to turn off 3G and only use the GSM cause i figure this will extend life seeing as i dont ever use 3G.
Thank

Re: GPS
From the manual it says it has GPS support, but you need a bluetooth receiver. There's no GPS antenna onboard.
