I didn't face any problems, in fact this new firmware fixed a major problem. The problem it fixed was a call bug where sometimes when there was an incoming call, pressing the answer key would result in the entire phone freezing up and the call would remain unanswered. I am yet to face that problem since I upgraded to the new firmware.
However, if you aren't having any problems then stay with your present firmware.

hey dis is da model i ws lukin 4, i min so much yet so sleek,hats off.but as it is few days back i got stuck in rain ,to save my e51 i kept it inside my satchel but of my bad luck somehow da water breached in my satchel n wen i returnd 2 my place found my phone waterlogged tried all measures but all in vein.i've sent it for repair.i'm anxious 2 have my phone back.i miss it like hellllllllllllll......

excellent phone, using for 1 year and 9 months ,no problems , great battery( 2 days atleast with around 2 hour of calls and edge. only the rubber made on-off power button seems like eaten by insects. also some rust appeared in the navi-button. Call quality,wifi, email,all things excellent. recommended!

Waghela, 13 Jun 2010Can some one advise me on how to transfer images from my PC... morejust install a microSD into memory slot. connect the usb with a pc. choose data transfer mode in your e51. now you can get the memory card on your pc. cut/copy & paste from pc to mc or vice versa. disconnect phone from pc. now mc is avaiable with the phone.

Hello, is any one can confirm me where I can get one brand new handset as it is not available in India any more. A The reason to have one is the only handset were you can make the recording while u r on the call by just pushing the side button

Mate the only way to turn of the sound click of the camera is to download a no sound software for your camera from mobile24. I did it and it works great no more sound.

Hello all!
I am thinking of buying this phone but I have a few questions, especially of skype users.
I am primarily interested in having a fairly cheap and slim phone with wi-fi access - so that I can use skype and call many people internationally.
How is the connectivity experience?
Also, does skype run in the background or block incoming calls? Basically can an incoming call on gsm override my skype conversation.
Another question I have is about the 2.5mm audio jack - is this for headsets or for listening to mp3's as well?
I can't exactly decide between this and E66 - which is pretty much the same thing with a better camera, slightly faster 3G, and has GPS. Any Recommendations?

roger, 01 Jun 2010how do i save the power button and the side button from not... moreThe button will eventually melt and be disfigured due to the facrt that when youi are charging you phone, it emits heat inside so the rubber is greatly affected making it melt.
Dont despair. Rubber keys are readily avail @ your nearest Nokia Shop for less than $10 for rubber buttons.
