i wonder if someone know how to change the based suck-music player with the new one like in e63. Change the exit option in the right softkey to music library option.
I often press exit accidentally while i pressing back to the player.
Anyone know how?

am from pakistan n a guy from a nokia shop told me that he can get me a brand new e51...with I-2,full warranty...anyone can plz advise.As am a little confused bout whether the phone would really be "brand new",,,,i dont wanna buy a re-furbished one.++ i had been using e52 for last couple o months n my experiance...e52 is better only in terms o its long battery life....otherwise e51 rulz

Oh my. I recently updated my software to the one posted but mine is 400.34.011...I wonder if t was the same as of 001? Hmm, I noticed that it has Google Search at the bottom of it addded and a designated search list that was originally in one of my office program prioir to the update.
hmmm and by the way...Ovi downloads won't work on my phone for some very srange reason! Hmmmm but I still love my baby e51. Mine is kinda rare looking....White Silver is hard to find these days they say... Black and Red Rose are too common.

To those people who has problem with their respective rubber keypads (MELTED ONES) and those people whose chrome D-pad has faded....DO NOT LOOSE HOPE!
I just had my phone fitted with a new body!Where? @ my nearest Nokia Care Centre in Alabang Town Center! I only spend a thousand bucks (Php 1000/ $22 ), technicians labor included.
It only took me less than 30 minutes and viola! I have a brand new looking phone....It looks exactly the same on the day that I first had it. My phone will turned 2years old this 5th of May.
E51 is by far the most reliable and the best phone I ever had. But I am giving up my baby in replacement for an E52. I am planning to sell it for 6k pesos but I dont have a buyer yet so I am shelving my plans of getting the E52 for now. lol

After installing the new firmware for my E51, my phone is unable to make to both wireless and 3G internet connections. If I want to reinstall the firmware (hoping this might fix things) the OVI software tells me that my phone does not have a SIM card installed... I think there might be a small bug somewhere in this update . Any ideas on how to fix this, or is the only solution to go to a carepoint and try to downgrade?

No problems with the update procedure for 410.34.001 on E51.
After the install i used a backup to restore all setting.
After the install, i can report the following:
1.
All bookmarks disappeared from the browser, this has not been the case previously.
If nokia developers read this, please fix it, it is seriously painful to restore all internet bookmarks manually. Web feeds are preserved however.
2.
In the internet browser, all pages saved in the "saved pages" folder are gone.
3.
Many (but strangely not all) applications must be reinstalled. This issue has been around for a while. One example of such programs is Opera mobile (including all its bookmarks of couse).
4.
None of the preloaded nokia bookmarks can be deleted. This has been around for a while, but it is till annoying that the bookmarks and folders cannot be removed.
So the choice is yours to make.
I'm about to upgrade my E51 to this new firmware as we speak. I will let you know the outcome.

After upgrading the fw to 410.34.001, the Maps app didn't start and asked for an upgrade. That couldn't be found directly from Nokia's site. Maps Updater updated the app and the maps were easy to download with Ovi Suite.
