Sarah, 04 Jan 2010graphite grey is available in Ireland on vodafone network..... moreim from ireland, had the phone for about 5 months now. Freezes when using wifi and some applications. Had it reset and problem solved. Bought it for the features especially the battery life which is amazing! only setback is the volume level is not loud enough in both speaker and headphone. otherwise it's a fantastic phone!

sim, 05 Jan 2010 i had a 6300, it doesnt match the 6300 - nit ots good. To SIM:

          Thank you for your opinion.

So far the 6300 has the most comfortable button press feedback.

GSMArena praised the legendary 6230 (s40) saying that typing errors are unlikely...and GSMArena also praised the E51's (s60) keypad.

Based on the 6300's review GSMArena didn't seem to like the keypad as much as the 6230 and E51. This is what they had to say about the 6300's keypad:

"The keys alone are big enough, respond surely to pressing, accompanied by a quiet click. Typing becomes comfortable once you get used to the vague touch feedback. The keys are made of silver plastic material; however, their footing to the base could have been better."

Regards of their saying...I honestly find the 6300's keypad to be the best of all the Nokias I have used. I would give the 6230 second best.

It will be interesting to see how the E52 fairs in comparison to the aforementioned phones.

Strange of you to tell me that. Normally the label would say something like 'Made in Finland', Made in Hungary, Made in Germany, Made in Korea, Made by Nokia etc.

Both E52 label only says APAC ?

received one of this as an upgrade to my E51,although the phone came faulty (it wouldn't get gsm signal, only 3G) it seemed a very good phone.
Conversation volume/quality is very very good, music too, good software..email client is better than the e51 one.
Can't wait to have it again..

got my e52 black (with matted front silver linings) original set in Penang, Malaysia. wanted to get the graphite grey, but i don't think nokia malaysia is carrying this color, at least not now, as shown on the Nokia Malaysia website.

it's denoted as "made by Nokia" instead of the country of origin.
                                  fw version 022 pre-installed.

so far so good, garmin xt does hang as other reported, especially when i try to zoom in/out the map too rapidly though.

it's capability to locking down positioning using the integrated GPS is not particularly impressive. then again, it's been raining season, and it's my first GPS enabled device, can't say i've done much comparison to say that it's "bad".

and i suppose detaching actually help the set to absorb part of the impact energy?

i still remember how good-old nokia 3310 fall apart on the road, collected back, turn on and it will work..

it does not necessary means that all other batteries would explode, just get your 3rd party battery from reputable / one with brand and/or manufacturer that you can track, then it should be relatively safe (and much cheaper!!) buy.

                                        To SLOBY:

Of all the Nokia phones I ever used I found the 6300 to have the best keypad. It was so soft to the touch yet being responsive and tactile.

If you have used a 6300 before, do you honestly consider the E52's keypad to be better ? If you have never used a 6300 before, would it be possible for you to get one to compare against the E52 ? If the E52's keypad beats the 6300 then I really have to get a E52.
