GI Joe, 11 Sep 2009Nice shots there. Well... Can I ask you something? Uhmmmm..... more1. What is the E52's LED flash operating range? Is it 1-2 meters or more than that?

I took those shots less than a meter away, it was just 1-2 feet away I think.

And yeah it says that you have a limit of 1 meter flash range in theory, but test it, tweak it a bit, adjust your lighting and steady your hand, chances are you'll take even better pics.

these are just quick shots that we tested.

2. Can we use the E52's LED flash as a video light or torch?

yes you can. you can turn it on or off.
just turn it on in the toolbar.

when you start recording, the LED will turn on.

3. Is E52 capable of capturing CIF (352 X 288) videos at 30 FPS? Or even QVGA (240 X 320) at 30 FPS? Or is the framerate of the videos just stocked at 15 FPS?

I think it's limited to 15fps. not bad though.

I'll try to up a sample vid when I have time.

I'll also take outdoor shots next week.

So stay tuned peeps! hehe

          Hi Guys,

Here are some quick messy shots that we took from several different phone cameras.

          http://s593.photobucket.com/albums/tt16/TimothyRalph/phonepics/

These are indoor shots with the 5800 and E71 updated firmwares which actually helped improve picture quality a bit.

You can check out which one seems best to you.

the e52 can take pretty decent shots with any type of reflective object that we tested out.

seems to perform quite well pre firmware update.

          ----

It seems E71 has a problem focusing well on our little toy figure, whatever shot we took seems choppy.

but it does take pretty clear pics of what it's focusing on if it's shiny.

With 5800, you have to be steady while taking a picture to attain a good quality, try setting it to soft.

          --

the n95 seems to take decent pics but feels like it has a yellowish tint somewhat. Still good though.

Anyway, you be the judge on what quality seems best to you peeps.

Guys, this is why E52 Gold was delayed or required pre-order......to those who wish to buy E52, time to rethink or shift focus to other brands/models. See comments from this website

Where was your E52 manufactured and what are the 7th and 8th digits of your IMEI ?

You can find all this information on the label beneath the battery.

Also does the label say E52-1 ?

Finally, while in standby mode type in *#0000# and tell me everything you see on the screen...every bit of detail. Thank you.

Do Not Buy E52. My E52 by the third day keeps auto resetting till I remove battery. After which I put it back and turn on, it keeps showing memory full error msg at turn on and resets, shows the same msg and resets, shows the same msg and resets, till I remove battery. Bought the phone for 1 month, but only used for 3 days while spending the rest of the time in Nokia Care, went there 3 times and each time they held my phone for 1 week.
Am trying to get refund so that can change model. If you want to buy E52, Good Luck to You.

My friends I just got a call from the store and the E52 is finally there.

Hopefully I will pick it up tomorrow and report my findings over the weekend.

But yeah, to be fair and unbiased towards the 3 phone: I'll take several pics on the same position both indoor and outdoor so no lighting angles could be taken as an unfair perspective.

give me time and I'll upload some test samples.

                      cheers!

I've checked the pics and there're two photos in both reviews that coincide the same view with 5800 and E52, but 5800 is winter and E52 is spring so different light and comparing it's difficult.

If you had time and could take photos to the same view with both phones, it would be fantastic!!

                        Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!

                            # Points to be Noted...

                            1. Phone announced in Feb 2009 @ MWC.
                            2. Updated on Nokia website(India) as coming soon.
                            3. Out of the blue phone erased overnite without a trace.
....Nokia please keep your customers updated, else we are prompted to check other manufacturers coz its really irritating you show goodies and then you snatch it away....do something before your customer base slips further.

paltik, 10 Sep 2009id rather buy a canon or nikon cameras!yes, once again it is a phone camera.

yes we also have a Nikon D200 camera.

a phone camera is a good bonus for a phone.

remember, most people are not professional photographers.

If you want to capture a mona lisa shot, yes buy a good camera.

if you just want to take a picture, a phone camera will do the job quite nicely.
