The only problem one might face using e55 might be the keyboard layout. but i beleiver it is just the matter of time before you get used to it and start typing as fast as possible. the other capabilities are the same as e52. these two phines are quite amazing technologicaly speaking

to me. e52 is the most user friendly phone in the E series. You dont regret buying it.

I have also purchased E 55 from the grey market in India. Am not facing any problems as such, except for the one of the cons discussed in the earlier post about the speaker (Not that much louder but as I purchased it for business purpose so it is not that much of a concern).
Besides this phone is a sheer beauty, one of the very good B phones made by nokia till date. Recommended Buy.

                    Hi All,

I recently bought Nokia E55 (Black) in India. The phone has not been officially launched and I have bought it from grey market.

After using for a couple of weeks I can see the following Pros and Cons:

                    Pros:
                    1. Extremely light weight and sleek phone
                    2. Black colour looks elegant
                    3. Decent battery life
                    4. Email connectivity is good
                    5. Supports high capacity memory cards without slowing down. I am using 8GB
                    6. Camera quality decent (could have been better)

Cons: There are no business stopping cons but yet they can be really nagging
                    1. Keyboard is a bit irritating. It’s been 2 weeks and I am not yet used to it. Previously I was using Sony Ericsson P1i which was a half QWERTY and was very comfortable.
                    2. Speaker sounds are pretty bad. Ringtones and voices sound blurred
                    3. Many software/games do not support the keyboard
                    4. Browser issues with opening certain pages. Worst is the new Opera Mini is also behaving weird offlate

Will keep you posted with more experiences.

Combo, 11 Mar 2010Hi, I would very much appreciate you can tell if the Nokia ... moreOf course it can open attachments. It can open Microsoft Office attachments, PDF, etc. It is a business phone, so it can do all of that. When you synchronise email, it only downloads plain text. If you want to view it in html or download an attachment, it connects again...

I recently bought a Nokia E55, and noticed something peculiar about it. In most pictures on the internet, the light sensor is located near the front camera. In very rare photos, such as those featured in GSMarena, the light sensor is on the left side of the phone.

Mine is on the left side, and I checked it is E55-1. Perhaps E55-2 is the one with light sensor and front camera together. Can anyone confirm? Also another difference I found between E55 and E52 is that the latter has a much softer D-pad. On my E55-1, the D-pad is stiff and needs a "clicking" press. Can anybody comment on that, with their experiences?

What don't you like about white, is it too feminine, or some other reason? Also, the white parts on the back, are they silky smooth "fridge" white, or textured somehow, like the black? Thanks for your help!

Hi, can those of you who have physically seen/touched the phone answer which colour is the best, white or black. Judging by the pictures, white looks shiny and attractive, but is this true in real life? Would the keys and back get yellowish even if looked after well? Also the GSMarena pictures show the white version to have green answer and red decline buttons, but everywhere else I look they are just silver keys. Which is real?

                                        Thank you, please reply.
