@Dharmesh: Do not go for this phone unless ur getting warranty . Yes this mobile has some serious problems thats the reason Nokia hold the launch of e55 in india.
My mobile has been replaced 3 times and problem is still there ....

thats a problem with the e series of restarting normally if it happens often you need to reinstall the latest version of the software. but if your still having a problem just change the set

is it true that E55 have problems with the processor? I have E55 for 2 months and i have problem with it,. Whenever I want to power the phone, the phone vibrates like it should, but the display remains off. Then after couple of days or even 1 week I can turn on the phone. After some time it happens all over again: E55 turns off suddenly by itself. I tried to reinstall/update software, but it didn't help. This phone is made in Finland, I will try to send it back for repair or change. Did someone do that before? I have a very bad experience with it. I think it's defective, it wasn't crashed, it is totally new.

But it could have difficulty handling some text attachments from time to time. So that you 'll need to choose Reply to see the contents of some mail with text attachments.. You'll do this if the contents of the mail never appears. It can open Microsoft 2003/1007 documents and PDF documents locally when sent as an attachment.

then you can use your skype, yahoo mess.... all in the same application on wifi or gsm.

I would like to buy Nokia E55 but since its unofficial launch in India no dealer gives warranty of bill for the same hence i think there is some problem with the phone processor please advise if its true.

I've had a Blackberry pearl before so am used to half qwerty, but I've read that using punctuation marks like inserting a comma etc takes multiple key presses when using predictive text in email..

I own E55 since 2009 and i only have that problem during calls, when the other person hears me like i was talking on speaker, or with phone far away from mouth. A friend's E55 just crashed. Whenever he wants to power the phone, the phone vibrates like it should, but the display remains off. I'm ńot sure if he broke it or something, it's just what he told me, and showed me the phone. Also, he told me that this thing about E55 processor crashes, is a very known thing with these E55-1 RM-482. Any thoughts?

Great phone. Yet to be officially launched in India.
14500 in grey market. Some standard options of Nokia like "My Shortcuts" not available.
