the question is... how long?? I'm just so tired of waiting. I don't like E72 because it's fat. I like it slim and combined with qwerty, that is sweet!

This phone is available at my local nokia shop for about 538 USD. It's freaking expensive I must say. This phone should cost 300 USD max.

But I have a close relativ... morewe live in the same city then. last sunday I went to TA and to Nokia counter off course. the girl told me that Nokia won't release E55, only E52 since they are practically the same (wth is that?).
anyway by the talks I get the impression that even Nokia is going to release E55, it won't be at near distant. maybe next 2 months or so I supposed.

The E55 will comeout in Indonesia (soon) with APAC (Asian Pacific) firmware.
If you notice in Indonesia, there were a couple of store that sell nokia (global, oke, sentra, era, etc). And one of them (not sure which one, because they all said nokia), is often to cary the APAC version of the phone. I know this because I need the chinese character/input in my phone. And one of them can supply me the APAC version with the chinese character/input.
I bet one of these might sell the E55.

If no one in Indonesia or malaysia asking to nokia center (visit and ask got higher point, e-mail, and calling) then nokia will presume that the interest in E55 were small.
But that nokia executive said that E55 will be eventually come out in Indonesia, since they already have T9 for Indonesian language. And since there will be a followup to the E55 in a years or two.
What they need is more time to polish the compaq QW-ER-TY. Since this is the E series, they don't want to throw a half baked product and got negative feeling on their flagship series.

Even if it doesn't have predictive, I think it's still easier and faster to type on than normal keypad!

first i was interested in the E52 but now i think why i should buy the E52 when i will surf and write many messages with my new handy(less key pushes)
so my decision is moved to the E55, of course at beginning it will be difficult to write with the half QWERTZ keys but after time its going to be normal i think

I sent an email to Italian Nokia website asking if they do UK delivery as the delivery form doesn't seem to allow overseas delivery but they haven't come back.
I also checked that E55 is on sale on the French Nokia www with a slightly higher price.
Probably need to get an Italian friend to buy it for me in Italy.
This is crazy! Arbitrage!

And just think the first Android device came out not even a year ago and look all the stuff in Android market. If I'm not mistaken there are now 4 Android handsets out now but a ton more due out this year. I think Nokia should really consider Android even if just to test the waters. I think symbian 5th edition is just horrible

price is too high in comparison to other E50 series nokia phone. I love nokia E series.
