theos1983, 06 Sep 2011hi does you phone heat up? the battery seen to head up and ... moreOh, you received your E6 already? Nope, it doesnt heat up. It gets a bit warm after a couple of hours of usage, but nothing out of ordinary.

Hi im new to this nokia e6 and to theses nokia e series phones ive been using it for 1 day can anyone info me if i can turn on and off the wifi when ever i want so far when ever it read a wifi connection it connect on its own how can i turn a connection off when i dont need it and turn it on when i do? when ever i press the icon where it states the wifi my phone freezes and goes blank like its off then after i while show the menu again. if i update the version will this help i thing its the older version because now that ive pressed update a new version i available . if anyone knows a site that expains how to use e6 please post it in the reply thanks

1) Manufacturers state the storage capacity using 1000 bytes = 1 Kilo bytes formula while actually 1 Kilo bytes = 1024 bytes. So when they say 8 GB it means 8 x 10^9 bytes which actually is 7.45 GB.
2) You have checked "free memory" after switching your phone on. Due to some pre-installed applications and media files, the phone is showing free memory less than you expectation.
3) Due to a technical limitation (or feature) in all file-systems called Block Size, there is always a very small (few Kilo bytes) unused but acquired disk space with almost every file. Total disk space acquired this way by files depends on total no. of files (not on their size). This also contributes a little to your question: where my disk space has gone?

this phone truly superb of e series...video player and the brightness screen is the most i love from this baby
overall its perfect phone
after get 022 fw, usb on to go works like charm, super fast...:D

dude,i hav been w8ted for this blasting one...now me owned it...simply great mob 4 all our needs.nokia e6 jst blows my all expectations...if u want to buy dnt gve ur ears to other,just see the show piece in any store and feel the performnc nd style of it..thats it

The new successor of E6 should have the following specifications:
8 mega pixel camera with auto focus
512 mb of ram
minimum of 2.66 inches display
1 GHz of processor
Symbian anna should be replaces with Symbian Belle..
the rest of the spec are good..

8 Gig always gives less than stipulated when the storage is formated on every storage, doesn´t matter if there is sd card or the storage on a computer or even any kind of phone.
the front camera is good.
Please, do some homework before getting mad.

I just got my E6-00 yesterday and i just like the style. I dont think Nokia wants to change the E-Series (EG E71/72 etc).They should really work on their sound becuase Sony Erricson (Blows them Nokia away regarding this). I dont want to go into details with a full review on the programes, but the worst thing on the phone is, the secondary camera is the worst. What was Nokia THINKING. How do you make a vidoe call with a seconday camera that's worst than a VGA Camera ?
On the 8GB Side (What they say) When i check the phone after switching on, STORAGE SAYS(6.43 gb) WHat's up with the lies Nokia ???
wHEN YOU SAY 8 GB on board storage, Let it be so. I should of just taken the N8.
