Ok! I've been using for more than a week now.

The bad thing compared to 9300 is the email client. It does not have the option to set authentication for outgoing mail server.
Which means u must change to outgoing mail server according to ur connection, everytime u connect to different ISP, inorder to send mail

I wonder if nokia will come out with a firmware update for this. Cos it will be a pain if u travel around often, and business man do travel often. And they still call it a business phone. DUH! If they fix this it will be perfect.

Signal strength is not as good as 9300 too.
I'm currently using only GSM.
I notice phones with 3G, often signal is stronger for 3G and 2G.

But I'm very happy with the speed compared to 9300. I can finally open my excel files much more faster.

Instead of clearing your existing Gmail account, try setting up a new gmail account for your mobile phone and forward a copy of the email from your existing gmail account. You can set this up in Settings > Forwarding/POP in Gmail.

Hi BigBug - SG, i am also facing the same problem with the Phone book. Cant get the contacts to be sorted by "First name, Last name". were you able to resolve this problem.

Secondly I am unable to download all my mails from Gmail. It just stores around 300 messages starting from last, so even if I try to download new it will not do so. finally I had to delete all my old mails to have my new mails on the phone.

How do I configure to exchange server,is there a way to do so.

I enjoy using this phone. The magnesium alloy used to construct the phone looks so elite. The phone is really a business phone. It has every type of connectivity you can think of. Sound quality is amazing. Display and Battery life even more amazing. The phone is really fast. For that matter s60 3rd edition is faster than s60 v2. Push mail is fantastic. It is light and thin. So it fits in easily into the shirt pocket. Nokia has a winner.

Extremely light is the first impact upon touching the Nokia E61. Well rounded business phone, reliable, robust and solid. Good sound quality and excellent connectivity features (such as VoIP over WLAN - using SIP). Sadly the E61 does not cater for all Blackberry Connect packages. Check before you buy. Nokia website says "available soon". Not soon enough it would seem. Lack of camera does make it incomplete - sadly. 7/10.

For those people who want to know more 3G about this phone .3G ......? 3G....... Of cause this phone has 3G .I have this phone typing on it now. Even those this phone has 3G but i am not sure when can we start using it. Right now Cingular using the old 3G WCDMA 1900 but this has a newer 3G WCDMA 2100 so even if Cingular put 3G in your city as of right now it will be WCDMA 1900.

hi, for those that have tested the phone, have 1 question:

can the volume up/down button on the left side, function as page up/down (jog dial)? e.g. choosing next/prev item/icon, or move up and down when viewing a long page.

pls ppl, no cameras doesn't make a phone less 3G okay. correct me if i'm wrong, 3G is referred to the transfer speed. if the speed is higher, other bandwith hungry apps can be implemented. one of such apps is video telephony.

if a phone doesn't have a camera, your honey just can't see your handsome/pretty face over the other end of the conversation, that's it. but the phone itself sure is a 3G phone.

blackberry conectivity means a email push service, its dependant on the service provider, what happens is that when an email is sent its detected as sent from a blackberry handset and therefore pushed to the next handset, delivery is nearly instant and the email appears on the screen as a notification, not in the inbox as a silent mail waiting for u to retrieve it

Well its not a full 3g phone as it does not have a camera , but then its a mentioned as 3g as it works as a modem transferring data @ 384 kbps which if used is a fairly good speed
