You can make a one way video call only. Two way video call is not possible with the E61. And there is nothing wrong with your eyes

I have just picked up the E61 - Great phone perfect size way above the O2 Atom i just released where keyboard and battery life were found wanting. The E61 is as all Nokia's a classic. I have one query - on mail through POP3 server - when the mail is knocked from the server by aging setting, it gets deleted from the handset on the next connection hence i cannot retain old mails on my handset?? Any suggestions. How is the blackberry on this set ??

Hi, I have been using Nokia E elegant 61 more than a month. Above all I post my comment here with my E61. It is really great! It has no Camera and FM. Anyway but complete business class requirements.

This phone is really pefect combination of business and entertainment, When I saw this phone for the first time I really liked and loved it, it has everything that I require, I want a perfect phone without camira.
I wish to see companies build more programs on this phone to enhance and use full capabilities of this phone.

I purchased the E61 yesterday at the Wanchai Computer Center. Clearly at this stage it's a grey market model brought over from Europe. But the language choices on the phone are English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese. I don't know how the input for Chinese characters would work on the phone. The problem is that with English loaded, the keyboard layout doesn't match! It's fine for alphanumeric characters, but for example, when you press the key combination that should give a ?, you get a = instead!
My other comment/question is that I wish there was a way to change the 7 application icons on the main screen. Having two of them devoted to messaging and one for Bluetooth set-up is not the way I'd prefer to go.
Last comment - just want to emphasize there are not a lot of Symbian Series 60 Ver 3 apps out there yet. No versions of my particular favorites yet - Worldmate and hanDbase.

I'm pretty sure it just allows you to set a stationary pic from your end during a video call...I have the 903 and you can set it to either show your pic via cam or set a stationary pic...

to nokia: i was about to buy this phone, but i've noticed that no camera in front for video call (3g). the salesman insists that this phone is 3g capable, as stated in the specifications. i just had my eye check-up recently, but i see no camera in the front or back of this phone.

I also have Agile Messener Beta that work pretty well and downloaded some themes from a couple sites, only two have worked well so far with the E 61 though I think most were made for the N80 cause they stretch out on my screen...but 3rd edition software is developing still so I will give it a while.
Nokia is opening a store in my city in two weeks so I will bug the hell out of them.

I finally got my E61 and I am using it with T Mo US...
Excellent Phone I love how the people with blackberries and the few with the Q (which is basically a skinny SDA) all give me envious looks when that all ask..."well what does it do that my phone doesn't"
As I connect to Wifi then get on my full internet browser (not WAP) the initial jaws drop, with Rick Ross playing in the background, and I show them I also have blackberry connect and the activesync loaded...
This phone should get better ratings than in does on this site.
Really though, I love how you can multitask with Symbian and the phone only froze on me once when I was surfing the net on the Apple Store's wifi and downloading LupeFiasco and bluetoothing a Dave Chappelle clip while I had music playing and then....phone call comes...the fact that I was doing everything else before the call with no problem was nice it froze for about 25 seconds and kicked me off the net/paused the music and downloads while I took the call and upon hanging up, the downloads resumed and the music cut back on. That's the ONLY problem! I can deal with that.
My other phone is the Sharp903sh which I ue as a camera in offline mode right now but not a bad backup phone.

Nokia never seizes to amaze me. They do the strangest things.
They take away basic functions for no reason.
For example, with my Nokia 9500, I used to search my contacts by phone number or company name, as well as the name … with the E61 you cant!!!
With the Nokia 9500 and basically every other Nokia, you could setup multiple clock recurring alarms, with this one you cant!!!
Not to mention that they keyboard is very awkward to use and its basically made for ladies with small fingers.
Word buy I ever made.

I m using this phone and there is one word to describe this phone'AMAZING'. The qwerty is very good and the screen is marvelous. Phone is very fast and the web browser is also very gud. doesnt hav fit to screen option though.i hav installed opera.agile messengerand all the other apps that are released so far and all are working great. Opera takes a little while to load up. Probably becoz it is a trial version. One thing that has surprised me is lack of any gud reviews of this ph on sites like gsm arena. So big guys at gsm arena plz write a detailed review of this ph so that phone lovers are able to know the fabulous features of this phone. I would rate this ph very highly. This phone will grow on people gradually. Way better thn n series and communicator. Value for money all the way.

3G is faster mobile internet than EDGE.You can receave a video call ,eaven if you do not have a secondary camera.Fast data transmition stream ,mp3s,videos,computer applications ...And ALL the MESSAGES you receave goes to internal memory or on youre memory card so when you receave it's stored in the memory card if you whant
