Keyboard is great. Try not using the D-pad with your fingernails.

This is the best phone that i got!!! Yes, the keypad is made of good quality rubber. Had fun broswing the web with this phone. This much much better than my P990i before. So easy to hook up with the WIFI. You should have this phone as well... :)

            Dear All,

Honestly this is really very cool business phone. Everything is working perfectly and you can install nice applications on. The only small problem that this phone has that it is sometimes slow in some applications.
Other than that, it is perfect. The Display is big and lovely and make the internet browsing, playing videos a real fun. the speaker and ringtones are loud and clear. It deserve the price. I got it from Dubai 6 mnths ago and the phone price is still almost the same.

              Hi happie

              1) the ringtone is loud enough for me. i dont know how loud was K700 as i havent tried one.

              2) i dont know what you mean about time limitation. well ive tried using an mp3 music as alert tone and it plays it. if that's what you mean

              3) yes it can make video calls. you can see who you are talking to if he has video call as well. but since there's no secondary camera, you would have to turn the phone and point the main camera to your face if you want the other party to see you for a while. i usually use video call if i want to show someone what im explaining to them (example an item from a mall if im not with them and im asking for opinion if its nice or not). so lack of secondary camera is not a problem with me.

I have a few questions for the current users:
                1) Is the ringing tone loud? SE phones 2 years back are really loud, e.g. K700

                2) Is there a time limitation on the sms tone. SE phones seem to have it.

                3) Can we make video calls?

                Appreciate your response. Thanks!

                  bro,
                  this link is dead!

Great News! Nokia is planning to release a the E71. The Nokia E71 is the successor to the Nokia E61/E62/E61. It has the same form factor and a QWERTY keyboard. However, it is much smaller and is black! Check out this link:

Chua, I've got the phone since august, and the D-pad still functions optimal. It did become a bit louder though...

John, you'll need an external GPS device, like I said, the phone does not have a built-in GPS chip.

                            To ALIEN:
I had that very same problem with any WiFi network with my e61i. You could try using the WLAN wizard: Menu>Connectivity>WLAN wiz. From there you can add the WLAN to ur phone and then you should be able to browse etc. If it's a public Hotspot you can try contacting the moderator for the hotspot like I did in my Univ. Good luck!

John, the keypad is some kind of hard plasticky sort of rubber, similar to most Nokia phones. The D-pad is chrome-painted plastic; you should be careful not to use your fingernails.
The phone includes GPS software but it doesn't have a GPS chip; you'll have to link it via bluetooth to a GPS receiver. The phone is great and I'm sure you won't regret it. Good luck.

Yes, the D-pad will wear off, at least mine did.
