It is not an upgrade from 9300. It does not have all the office features. For example, the calender cannot take notes. I was disappointed and returned it to the supplier after a one week trial.I much prefer my old 9300!

hi guys. presently using an imate k-jam for my love for windows os , full qwerty keypad and my frequency of updating/syncing/creating/editing and viewing word and excel files and also the immensely indispensable wi-fi. but really missing the blackberry push email feature.can anybody tell me abt any device with windows os , full qwerty keypad , wifi and blackberry connectivity.if not , then pls advise whether sacrificing the windows os and going in for the nokia E61i is better or the blackberry 8320. i mean , does one face major problems in a non-window os for normal "office" apps. pls reply asap. thnks and rgds

Saahil. I find the 65K enough for my needs, of course ut may looks inferior to a Nokia E61i but I can't tell the diferences.

The reason I use a Smartphone is to have emails, access to web page wherever I travel. Multimedia capabities like camera, movies, music are second.

I need a solid and fast device, actually my Moto Q (CDMA) is fine inside the USA, but when I travel overseas GSM rules.

Raul original creative ep630 is available for indian Rs850 without bill & warranty and i think sennheiser cx300 is priced more than twice or thrice of it. Can you or anyone else tell the price and availability in mumbai for cx300. Thanx

David i have never used windows or palm os, but one thing which i found missing in windows mobile specification is the screen tft.
E61i has 16m colours as compared to 65k in most of the windows mobile, which makes the display more sharp. Infact i turned on to e61i coz of this difference.
I may be wrong, What is your opinion about windows display? I mean 65k tft is okay for movies, webpage images etc.

How fast or slow is this phone?

I have never used a Symbian smartphone. Always used Windows and Palm OS.

My other candidate is the Blackberry Curve 8320 that comes with Wifi.

                      Dear mJZx,
I totally agree with you in everything you said..I know all these things myself...
Of course it would've been ideal to be a 3.5 mm jack in the E61i and the same goes for the lack of the radio (obviously). All the features that Nokia includes in its mobile phones are dictated by market strategies, they are trying to individualise each phone for specific uses (each have different targets) so that they'll cover a wider market and make better sales. If they would've done the perfect phone everyone would've bought that one..it is not a matter of can do. I aknolledge the lacks of the phone and hope for future improovments in later models.
As for the antena function of the adapters (witch is not the case for the E61i cause it does not have an integrated radio) it is the same as in any headphone case (it is known that headphones function like an antena), and about the improoving of the sound quality that may not be true but the sound quality is not distorted or at least not in a way that it would make a difference on sound quality.(I thought that the adapters being so bulky may have had a tiny amplifier or something ..otherwise they should've used a common jack and not that little square box :)
In spite of all these the E61i is the phone that suits me and we are all E61i lovers on this forum :)

Look Raul, Nokia are not living in cuckoo land. There is no special law for Nokia and another for a different manufacturer. The laws of Physics apply. Multiple inputs produce more distortion. It is a fact. If Nokia had meditated over the device and placed a 3.5mm input ab initio it would have been far better.
E61i lover, Nokia have in fact made things more difficult by forcing the user to buy an adapter in order to enjoy decent earphones. They made it a necessity by cynically including an earphone instead of the usual twin stereo earphones. Ironically this is a stereo device! A further attack on music lovers is the absence of radio when far cheaper handsets such as Nokia 6300 have this feature. Yet one can listen to business news on the radio so Nokia have shot themselves in the foot!!

Adaptors and dongles do not introduce more distorison....they say they have an antena function (for boosting the radio) and they even say that it amplifies the stereo sound...

as far as i know, nokia e-series phones are optimized for business functions.

it's not that nokia try to complicate things by not putting a 3.5mm jack to the phone, its just simple that if your really a music lover, you should consider the n-series phones or at least the phones with music xpress on their label.

as for the business dependability of this phone, i would rate this phone A+. nokia hits the right spot on this one. :-)

Thanks Raul for the info on headphones. I wasn't even sure that this device supports stereo since Nokia confusingly supply only ONE earphone for use with either the left or right ear!! I wonder why they could not supply the usual twin stereo earphones. If the customer only wants to use one in particular situations it is simply taken out of one ear!! It is surprising that Nokia did not place a 3.5mm jack in the first place. Adapters and dongles just introduce more distortion and reduce the signal to noise ratio. Even the E90 needs an adapter because the geniuses at Nokia went and put a 2.5mm input instead of the standard 3.5mm! I wonder, do these people take pleasure in making things difficult for music lovers??

I tried formatting with old symbian trick
                                        1. Remove simcard & memorycard
                                        2. Keep Pressed (*/green/3) together and turnon the phone.
The phone started in a normal way but it got formatted.
