To Niranjan,

windows mobile is a more tweakable OS than symbian by far...but it does have memory leaks and bugs that may cause anonymous reboots

Symbian is better in reliability but as i said before less tweakable

one more thing...windows mobile is more for office working and symbian is more multimedia orientated

Did any of you guys manage to convert a divx movie WITH the black bands on top and on the bottom of the screen ....you know those black parts that you see up and down the actual movie when you view it fullscreen....because when I convert the movie 320 X 240 4:3 ...the final image on the phone's screen is elongated..everything seems taller......there is no problem for TV shows because most of them are full screen and do not have those black parts above and beneath the screen in witch the action takes part that I was telling you about before....

I hope I made myself understood ..So if any of you managed to solve this problem plssss share it with me...and maybe others that have the same issue

      Nokia E61i or htc s710 ??

Want to buy a business phone for on-the-move usage. Been juggling between E61i and s710. Got to know that (vodaphone) GPRS isn't supported on windows based htc mobiles, but only the WiFi support, which doesnt satisfy my usage requirement.

      Opinion please ??

          To ALL E61i users:

im a P990 user and planning to change my phone.
im considering E61i, Treo 680, and Treo 750. as you can see they all have different OS (symbian, Palm OS, Windows mobile).

i would like to get your UNBIASED comment about E61i.

good things and bad things about it.

im actually good with P990i as ive removed the keypad so that it only shows the qwerty keyboard. but the keys are too small for me and sometimes i press the wrong keys. ive seen the keypad of E61i and its a bit bigger than P990i's qwerty. thats why im considering E61i

          thanks!

How to save a picture or photos when we received one from email? I mean to save jpg directly to phone's memory. Unlike when we browsing on pc, there's always an option when we right-click the mouse button. Here in my e 61i, i dont find any of that kind options to 'save picture as..' or 'save as' please help. Any input appreciated

                    thx ids,
but it is still not working....

online certificate check is turned OFF..

changed the date to 2006 (even 2005) ...did that even before I asked on this forum and still nothing...same response ...certificate may not be valid or the date phone might be set wrong...thats what is says

....in deed these are the things I should do in order to work ..maybe I'm missing something..I mention that I took the themes and applications from gsm0.com ..maybe you can recommend other sites

                    thank you in advance,
                    raul

                      to raul

go to appl mngr, go into its setting, turn of online certificate check.

if some aplicatn is expired, try to re date ur cp to 2006. this wil let u install expired certificate apli.

                          To 4mqN:
the dual CPU on the E61 and E61i is exactly the same!! Secondly Nokia do not make it clear what the term "dual CPU" means. It may not necessarily mean that two processors are running at the SAME speed. One processor may be used to run the Symbian system, the other for telephony and they may run at different speeds. Nokia may just be giving the speed of the faster of the two processors when they state "dual CPU....clock rate 220MHz."

is there a new E61i(2) coming sooooon???

i have the E61, no point to upgrade, still waiting for a real improvement!

                                        -ìt definately should be thinner!
-a little smaller, it's about 5mm too wide!
                                        -build in GPS!
                                        -good working radio!
                                        -16GB of storage + sd
                                        -usb and audio jack!
                                        -touch screen!
                                        -better multi media player!
                                        -blackberry support!

If i don't see those specs in a stylish gadget by the end of the year I'm going with the iPhone2 then!
