man, got to go to nokia care center to re install the phones software. or download the e61i phone software from nokia website, save it into ur computer then transfer it to ur phone via usb cable or bluetooth. but it is recommendable to let nokia care to check ur unit. if i have the time to go the any nokia center, i will re install my software, but unfortunately i live in an island though. must find time to go to the mainland. thus soft reset in your memory card does not work?

I bought this Phone four days ago in Mexico City and I love it! It's a great Smartphone with a lot of applications: Quickoffice, Adobe PDF, Zip, Messenger, Podcasting, WidSets, WorldMate, etc. By the way, the screen it's awesome, and the sound enough louder. The Cam is ok, but the WiFi it's superb. If you have the chance... just buy it!

All black?! Nothing in the phone is black, except for the charger and irda ports, a little rim aroud the camera, and the keyboard symbols (kind of)! Ha ha ha

does this phone have a cradle stand where the the phone can be charged while connected to the pc??

go to gsm0.com lots of free applications,games and themes for s60 3v.(E61i software). also try allboutsymbian.com.

that procedure of rebooting the memory card is just temporary solution for the error -1 msg. it will surely require to re install the software to fix the problem. but keep us posted regarding the result.

it is the best nokia on my hand so far..class and action..problem; how do i download free software [antivirus, googletalk, etc] and install them on the phone?..please help

Its one of the best phones nokia has ever made but they keep behaving like toyota why not make it all black and include an FM stereo radio. They shud let us have a choice between the E90

Don't buy from e-buy-global.com !
It's strange that they got mobile phones 70% cheaper, e.g. 8600 Luna - $150. It's that odd, that it doesn't even cover production expenses...
So, my advice: don't even write to them. They aren't really from Italy! Their host is somewhere in Israel! It might aswell be some kid playing around behind his PC, and getting his money off our backs.
When I asked for their company's registration number, business rate, or something like that, the director replied to me they haven't got it for anybody. 'Cause that's something that has to be made public, so anyone may verify it.

lots of good applications in gsm0.com for our e61i. like full edition of oxford dict, live tv, alarm, blackballer etc.and even games too.

my e61i also experience the same error. but my unit will show the mssge error as (menu: system error -1, to correct this i will tap the power button, select remove memeory card, then ok. sometimes it will not require to phsicaly remove the card but sometimes it require me to do it. after this u can acces to the applications that u can't go to. i called up nokia care, they suggest to reinstall its software. so it is advisable to back up all info and applications instlled in the phone.

1 month and no complaints,almost, 'bout the wonderful E61i. Strangely, I've never been able to reach my Yahoomail inbox thro GPRS (Hutch, India) as each time after I sign in, Y!mail home page is what's loaded again. I tried WLAN access once and no problems with that in accessing Y!mail. This problem's really handicapping me. Is there anything simple I'm missing? I'm no great technowhiz, could somebody please help me out??!!

hey sandman...even i am facin the same problem.......on top of tht on openin some applications i am gettin a system error with a negative code...eg: "camera system error(-1)"....can ne one help with this?????

Yes I do admit that business people need the radio. I for one end up listening to BBC on my 6280, so yeah it would be convenient to have it.
2ndly having major multimedia capabilities would be nice for when one wants to relax to music.
3rdly the camera is said to be 2MP and my wife uses a 6300 but the clarity is way superior! I dont know whether it was hastily bundled to just calm us demanding users. Lets hope they will improve on this as someone said, maybe put it a flash too!
4thly the single ear bud headphones suck big time and look very odd. And when listening to a song dont make for enjoyable listening! They do need to rethink that for real.
just wanted to say yes i love the phone but I am not blind to its shortcomings. Still I made an informed choice, noone put a gun to my head to buy the cell.

I m not sure that this one has the Encyclopedia. I know the 6300 has a dictionary which doesnt exactly autocomplete or autosuggest.
I do believe that this phone was made to be like how you use your computer. It writes what you know WYSIWYG. it does not 2nd guess u.
I love the qwerty keyboard bcoz it allows me to write in my vernacular languages faster than if there was T9 which I'd have to spell for all the time.
And as someone else said, we hope Nokia monitor such forums for input into their research and design process.

Mig33 will work,
Agile messenger works for all Google Talk, MSN etc.. (Check WAP setting if not connecting.) For Kernal error try rebooting phone by removing the battery for a minute.

Need some help.
My E61i is 1 month old. I don't know what I've done but now there is a pop-up showing "App.Closed: Main, KERN-EXEC 0".
Can anybody help me on this, please.
