i have problem with my e66. if you go to camera the picture will turn upside down. then if you took the sim on the phone then it will display normal picture. can somebody tell me what's going on?

"A" means assisted as in, if you are on a wifi or network connection it will help the regular gps get a lock on your location quicker. You can then travel without wifi (obviously) or a network connetion and use the regular gps with maps to find your location and/or destination. The nokia E66 has the same gps chip as a stand alone unit. Now the whole map question on these phones is a whole other and confusing question. With the phone you get a basic map, no voice guidance or other fancy stuff. Sometimes the map is on the card to download other times one has to find it on nokia site. you can subscribe to a service through nokia maps which is a silly price. I would go get Garmin xt software on an sd card and get the full package for a one time price.

Hi my friends
I want to buy e66 but I am so confused about GPS they told me that there is too kinds oh GPS ( GPS and A-GPS ) The seconed kind depends on Internet and E66 has The seconed kind A-GPS ...while GPS in other Nokia Like N95 and N72 is much bettwr than gps in E66
pleas someone answer me is gps in N95 the same of gps in E66 ???

Hi,
just got my E66, love the phone but keep having major problems using the WLAN. Like I can't!! Even using my home network I keep getting 'system error' or 'gateway no reply'. WLAN working fine, PS3, laptop, lads PC all using wireless fine.
I've played with all the settings but getting nowhere.
Any advice gratefully received.....

Pros: Great phone, Wifi, GPS, Bright Screen, everything is perfect on this phone except the battery.
Cons: Battery life is very short, if you are a heavy user it might finish before the end of the day !!! if you are a moderate user you will manage to reach the end of the day !!
Yesterday I fully charged the phone and removed the charger 3 am and set the Alarm on 7 am.
At 7 am the alarm was ringing for several times and then I woke up and stoped it.
What surprised me is that one bar from the battery meter has gone just for the alarm.
When I reached the office at 9 am, another bar was gone !!!
If you speak for totally 1 houre per day, you will have 1 bar at the end of the day (11:30 pm).
My phone has Bluetooth on all the time, all other thing, WIFI, and GPS are off.
3G is off (I turned it off to increase the battery life , imagine if it is on what will happen !!!
I am going tomorrow to exchange it with e71 as they say its battery are great (1500 ma) and stays for at least 3 days with moderate usage.
Nokia should managed to squeeze a 1200 ma battery in this phone as 1000 ma is not enough at all !!
What is the use of buying a business phone that will shut down buy the end of the day !!

A perfect phone. All the specialties packed in a sleek design. Wi-fi, GPS, a nice camera, 3G. And most of all its small.

Hello, I am undecided, I am deciding between the Nokia E66 and Sony Ericsson W980. Any comments that would assit me in deciding would be good. Overall I am looking at the best one in terms of battery life based on your use and music playing. I had a SE C902 and the battery life wasn't the best so looking at getting the E66 or W980 but worried about battery life mainly. Thanks for any help feedback. I have posted this message under both Nokia and SE phones to get biased and unbiased opinions :).

Well I am using this phone for more than 2 weeks. This is the worse set in E-series nokia ever made.
Outlook, feel and using is awesome.
Cam result with flash is below average.
Poor battery
Auto key lock with slide dosent work properly.
Im a BIG fan of nokia E-series
But I am so disappointed with E-66
