I use to believe that this phone is so slow i have check with the nokia store and they let me navigate this phone for one hour and i find out that this phone is really slow like a turtle.

In front of Galaxy II, Exp... moreNO it wont with that price tag infront of those phone which you have mentione and i am sure nokia is well aware of this fact . its just the matter of time they want to keep the price high as it has been launched recently but within a month or two price will decline at the rate of knots and that has been case with nokia throughout all past few years . I still feel this is a very good phone, physical Qwerty makes it more tempting along with 4 CB Amo-led screen , all those connectivity fm etc ... only thing which baffles me is the 8MP FIXED focus camera , comeone nokia this phone costs much more than N8 , it deserve atleast 8MP with Autofocus?

From kenya, I have had this phone for about a week. bought it from Safaricom shop.
Pros
1. The DESIGN is just sleek, excellent feel.
2. The HD video recording is quite impressive, during the day.Colours jump out on my 42inch telly with connection via HDMI.
3. Good business phone, the slide keypad is just delicious for emails and texting.
Cons
1. Not as fast in response as desired, its actually a little sluggish (touch response, auto rotate)
2. The battery life is plain UNACCEPTABLE. Cannot, absolutely NOT last 24 hours
3. does not do USB charging
4. Still camera is ok, but an agonising far cry to that of N8.
5. aluminum body is not at the ends of the phone, cheap plastic just spoils the party.
6. Costs 53,000 kenyan shillings ($630) , while N8 is 39,000 ($464). How is that possible? we are paying too much for that slide mechanism.
My advice: If yu can type on a touch screen easily, N8 is the phone for you. if you cant, then sacrifice, and pay more for an inferior phone, with a nice key pad :-)

The flagship of nokia doesnt seem... moreYes, E7, C7, C6-01 and N8 all have ARM11 680MHz CPUs and yet still are able to record 720p videos.
Guess what, ARM11 android phones, even the 800MHz Galaxy Ace, cannot do HD at all.
While symbian^3 phones are able to do heavy multi-tasking and run HD games with an ARM11 and 256mb RAM, an android phone needs a Cortex-A8 or Snapdragon and at least 512mb RAM just to be smooth enough, and even with those specs its UI still lags sometimes.
I do agree that E7 is expensive though. Should be 400 euros max.

I got the chance to play with this latest high end business gadget offering from nokia . its a fantastic phone but nokia can never justify the price tag this phone comes with . Nokia has lost a lot of ground , its time they provide high quality phone with feature packed at a reasonable price . Price tag of the E7 is way to high same goes for blackberry phones .

Yes, price of this phone in the philippines has declined from PhP28.5K to 26K. Also, N8 price is going down. it is probably due to upcoming Symbian Anna phones. maybe it is also because of anna update for S^3 phones.

salym.ally@hotmail, 26 Apr 2011da price is killing me.....i hope nokia will take down sams... morethe price for the E7 is slowly declining, probly in a few months time, it will be even more cheaper as other phone maker is introducing their new phone models, in my country the LG 2X is a little bit cheaper compare to the E7, so it wont take that long before the price is as about the as N8( maybe even cheaper ) when it is first launch, good news for us :)
