Hi All,
Why Nokia is not releasing or changing their OS , this phone with Android OS will be a big hit and also they couls have increased the processor and Ram.

I checked the Live Demo of Nokia E7,,everything in it is awsome except very few loopholes..Its one of the best phone ever launched by Nokia.Currently I have Nokia E90 and even that great with Symbian OS which is far better than Android in comparison of Batterr.

brynn, 12 Mar 2011Remember a year ago on s/e forums and they were in trouble.... moreu r right. i am also a big nokia fan. i like nokia fones but they need to learn if they want to survive, they have to improve hardware of the flagship foes to atleast 1GHz processor if not dual core and min 512 MB ram

i think android really sucks a complicated os which has ony apps nothing more whereas symbian is easy to use ,user friendely and the most important you can personalise it as the way u want so with out and reason dont tell that symbian sucks

Nokia isnt good at giving hardware , forget about the software. At this price point , it ought to give @least 1 Ghz processor. Symbain 3 isnt good either.It lacks smoothness and cant give you superb data integration like android. Its freaking slow. Xperia Arc is a better option.

I am completely confused and have serious doubt on the Nokia Team to Launch E7, fully loaded phone, with 680 MHz processor. Why could you not thought of 1GHz dual core processor. I will not buy this only for this reason. Please Think. I hope Nokia still wants to be No.1. Please launch a phone in India which is comparable to Samsung Galaxy S II with Super Amlod Screen and at reasonable cost.

Mobilemaster, 12 Mar 2011I really want Nokia to produce some high-end smart phones, ... moreAndroid sucks!!!! basic android is not meant to be a phone os. it suits galaxy tabs etc. take android 2.1 for instance (that what i have on my galaxy 3. cant install apps on memory card. no usb tether for 3g. no task manager which means programs keep runing in the background. its a battery hog. No themes meaning u are stuck with a black background ( i got a shocker to find that homescreens can be changed but not the black background). symbian themes are free android ones are mostly paid. u need special software for easytether for usb tether and for changing homescreens. in short android doesnt have basic functions that is required. android also needs powerful cpu's and more ram for it to work smoothly. i remember runing win xp on my pc with 256 mb ram and it worked smoothly on my p4 2.4ghz HT processor but android cant even run properly with 256 mb ram. oh almost forgot no video calls for android 2.1 wow!!!!

but still...do not compare androids battery perfomnce with symbian...
with pretty regulr use of intern8 and few calls/sms my N8 give me 3to4 days battery backup easily...
and mind u i am 'X' android user(SE xperia,moto milestone,dell streak and galaxy-s)so i am talkin by my experience...
"heavy metal brick" !!!! are u serious...geeze god bless u mate...be happy with ur cheap plastic made androids which starts to look like 2nd hand device in just one month or so!!! and just to cut down on a weight they simply comprmises on the luxurious feel of ur expensive device...unlike nokia harware(latest E series and N8)

Accidents do and WILL happen even with the most careful user. At least when accidents happen you phone will be still up and running.

No problem? Seriously? Have you even seen the performance on the ZTE blade. Is almost laughable. And god knows what freaking GPU did they used in that device.

Actually by default, android doesnt have true multitasking. Apps will still continue to run in the background and you have no way to terminate them unless you have a task manager which can be downloaded form the market (ad-driven though)

Opera Mobile is a well known RAM eater for symbian. Thats why there is Opera Mini symbian version :)

disagree. this is mainly caused by the old JavaScript and webkit version which is used from 2007 till now. However, PR2.0 which will be coming soon by end of march/early april will bring on a new QT based web browser with HTML 5 and Flash 10.1 support.

Also disagree. My n8 could easily surpass my brothers galaxy s in terms of battery life anytime, anyday.
