Have u used this phone b4 dropping ur commen... moreNokia do not have the best hardware because it is completely pointless to have a heavy metal brick in the pocket and no user will ever need more than a phone that easily can survive when dropped but never need a phone that can almost survive a "nuclear explosion" or being damaged by a big hammer or being run over by a heavy truck...
Android can run just as good as Symbian on just as slow processors, ZTE Blade run Android 2.2 on only 600 MHz ARM 11 processor with no problem! Android also offer true multitasking, but just as on a PC you can multitask on almost no ram at all but it will then be much slower than it would be with more ram so Nokia should use more ram because when I use Opera Mobile on my Symbian N97 mini I very often get the error not enough ram-memory even though it is a Symbian-phone.
Amoled have problem with not "aging" well, old amoleds are not very good at all.
The browser is bad because the hardware, cpu gpu and ram, is not good enough and can not handle any better browsing-experience.
Nokia have so much smaller battery that they still do not have better batterylife even though they use so slow, batteryefficient, cpu.

Mobilemaster, 09 Mar 2011The LG Optimus 2X is twice better than this crap! :)) Sorry... moreuntil and unless u plan to stay in sm village for 15 days without having access to pe drive or laptop/pc 16gb memory is never gonna be less for u....the entire music collection on my laptop is 18gb...nd tht too half of it i m never ever gonna listen...nd u dnt transfer everythng to ur phone..everyone has a pc for tht...nd y the hell is a dual core processor needed in a cellphone...which application needs such kind of hardware...until i m using really heavy software or high end games even the dul core of my laptop is rarely used...nd u need a dual core processor for a cell!!! dnt just blindly follow figures..have some sense mate..

The Menu is ugly, the basic features are missing now. If they will change these things then they will compete Android. Now everybody HAS to admit that Android is the KING! I like Nokia too and I am sorry 4 them.

Mobilemaster, 12 Mar 2011This was 4 me or for TC?Remember a year ago on s/e forums and they were in trouble.Now look how they have bounced back like motorola.Nokia can bounce back with new devices on the way that were already in build and in production.I have this feeling deep down and also been a nokia/symbian fanboy that symbian WILL NOT die.It is far to much in peoples hearts and sell 270,000 symbian fones a day.

Are u serious? Have u used this phone b4 dropping ur comments? Itz bn proven that nokia has d best Hardware, if u think this phone is overpriced, then u should stick to ur cheap Android phones! No one forced u to comment on this. Symbian OS wasn't designed 4 heavy duty processors, it could run on a 200MHz chip with no stress & Symbian is the only OS that offers true multitasking, like d ones u get on ur pc. I think this phone's great & awesome 4 d price. Itz screen resolution is perfect..Remember itz a 'Clear Black Amoled Display'! U can't compare an LCD TV of d highest resolution to a Plasma Tv of just 720p..A plasma display produces much more color & it shares those characteristics with an Amoled, d only difference is that LED & AMOLED consume less power than a Plasma display. So u can't compare Apple's Ips lit LCD to this AMOLED display. The AMOLED still outpaces it! Itz a business phone, so it wasn't meant 4 poor android hungry brats! There are so many cars that are cheaper & have much more features than a Rolls Royce Phantom, but that doesn't make them better than a Phantom. So now u can see that build quality matters! Symbian OS works pretty good, the only complain ppl have is about d UI & Browser, not d processor or gpu. Itz UI isn't as catchy as that of an iPhone4, but it rocks still. And updates will be released to treat those issues. Although Symbian is about to be phased out next year, that doesn't mean u won't find new apps around 4 it. Apps are still developed for 2nd Generation Symbian devices till date, thatz almost 6yrs now & this device is a 6th Generation Symbian, so there will still b support 4 it till even 2020! So if u like it, and u can afford it, don't deny urself d pleasure cuz of what these tech-hungry dullards posted here as comments.

You can buy much better phones wi... moreI do not think Nokia really have better hardware, having an aluminium body only make the phone more heavy but my Galaxy S have "Gorilla screen" and "only" a plastic back-cover, but it is still just as strong and I have dropped it many times without breaking it. If you drop a heavy aluminium phone it will break just as easy as if you drop a lightweigt plastic phone.
Nokia have slow cpu and slow gpu and screen with only 360x640 and very small battery... so Nokia do not have good hardware!

Well, you didn't have luck lol! Do you think that all of the Nexus S phones have major problems?? About Samsung, they are a good company. Their hardware are NOT so good like Nokia. Nokia phones are made with very resistant materials. Nokia is going down these years, and you have to agree with me. They didn't announced any new smart phones this year at MWC. They did the same last year. By the way Samsung will overtake Nokia in 2 years! Even if they won't, they are a great company. About the batteries, I don't believe that many Samsung phones have problem with batteries. Maybe that those phones have problems with the battery, which are made in China. You know that some Samsung phones are made there.

[deleted post]Since the 3650 lauched i longed for a timer/stopwatch and asked many times for this to be implemented.Now to those who say why dont you go and build the app yourself,well.
1)Computer stuff is difficult to learn and i am no computer wizard,
1)Why should i when feature fones like s/e k800i or years old samsung d900 have these as standard.
Nokia did not grant the wishes of its customers after begging and pleading on these forums to emailing Nokia itself.We wanted a new n91 ,new n95 8gb new e90 its written all over the web what people wanted and we got nothing.I amongst others have got along rebuying n95 8gb and other n-series because after the n86 to me NOKIA CEASED.
I have been on these forums since 2003 and seen the lot from horrible slagging off to great speeches but even i too am admitting defeat.
I used to follow another member called Andy Burgin but have not seen his name for 2 years,has he left too after years of been a Nokia fan?
Nokia were doing well and the soldiered on lapping it up BUT they ignored the change in the market and their customers wishes leading to the state of affairs now.
I dont know what else to say,i hate the position of the market with all these silly touchscreens so have to put up with n86,n85,n79 as devices till ??????
Its a depressing state of affairs and with the econmy apple will also go by the wayside in next 18months.Everyone i know is DEFINETLY NOT entering into a 24 month contract so going pay as you go.They have not got the money to buy outright i=fone so ,yes, they are going Android.So whats to become of all this?? ZTE sweep in and take the market???

This is why Nokia needed a joint venture with another company (though I personally would have preferred an alliance with Google).
This phone had the potential to sweep the world. Until Nokia decided to skimp on certain details, like they've done with every smartphone in the past. For this particular model:
1) Put an 8MP camera on board...and then give it FIXED focus?
2) 720P WITH stabilization...yet only 25 FPS?
3) ARM 11 680 MHz processor when 1 GHz processors were common place in phones of this class?
4) Symbian (I don't care what version you put on it)...enough said.
Nokia has always done this with their smartphones. They build them up to almost being the perfect phone, but then shortchange it in a few details that leaves you scratching your head. Such as for points 1) and 2), why wouldn't you go the one step further and put in auto-focus and 30 FPS if you're already implementing all these other premium features?!?
You can be the biggest Nokia fanboy out there, but you're not thinking very clearly if you fail to realize how mismanaged the company was, and the last few months have proven this fact.
As a former Nokia user, I really hope they can revive their reputation with future models.
