I bought 2 of these. Shortly - Nokia is no longer the same like in the past! All my life i was using Nokia only, but this one will be the last one! Too many bugs. To 1 of the phones, after you send sms/make picture etc a sattelite (data transfer) appears for a while. When somebody calls you at the second line, after you pick up the phone turns into loudspeaker mode and you cannot remove it. Sometimes is not possible to pick up at all! If you send several smses faster (in 1 min) the phone confuses and it sending the messages to wrong contacts. I am using the phones since.. 1 year. To 1 of them also the camera is no longer working! After i start it - appears a message - system error, restart etc. Nothing helps! The phones are in perfect physical conditions! The software sucks! No more Nokia for me!

portable009, 31 May 2013Can you please explain to me if NOKIA N9 is as good as NOKI... moreWell, well. You have a new desire. You need to know what is the main reason to have a new (Nokia) phone. What are you doing with the phone? What is the highest price to pay for a cell-phone? For me it's about 250 euros. I have used N9 about 16 months and E7 almost two years now.
N9 pros:
The swipe UI is very nice to use- you'll love it. Just look ads on youtube or swipe.nokia.com
The music player looks better than E7, but both are similar. NFC. The camera has autofocus. Facebook and twitter integration on OS. No bookmarks on the browser. The most opened pages are ready to open all the time on the http:// -field. They both have Dolby digital sound if needed.
N9 cons: No USB-on-the-go (on the box), no hardware keyboard (the deal breaker for me). Internet browser has one annoying feature. When downloading a page and swipe it up too fast, wysiwyg, a half screen with gray blocks, just hold on a second, please. Then you'll have it. IMO it's better to have blank white than that.
E7 Pros: the divine keyboard, USB-on-the-go, has bigger screen.
E7 cons: heavier and bigger than N9 It's price for the keyboard.
They both have a good design and high quality materials used. They don't feel plastic and cheap like some Asian brands. With both of them you'll have free navigation on- and offline and decent multimedia features. If you pay more, you'll get more..but what?

Nesan, 28 May 2013Hi, I have the Nokia E7...I love it...including the flip ou... moreIf you prefer the hardware keyboard there is no better phone available. There used to be an android phone HTC Desire Z, but it's not available anymore and the keyboard is not as good as E7 has. When writing my own language- finnish I need extra keys on the keyboard to write fast (extra keys are å, ä and ö). The solution is not to push two buttons at the same time like shift-a to have ä.
(IMO) It's sad, but true- it is cheaper to produce a phone with touch screen and localize it's keyboard to any language is needed.

Tarrincollo, 28 May 2013Hi Guys, My other half has one of these phones but doesn'... moreDo you mean MultiMedia-messages (MMS) when talking picture messages? Make sure that your other half has right settings for receiving MMS. Normally you'll get them from your operator with an text message when putting a new SIM-cards for the first time to your phone.

portable009, 26 May 2013How is the Usb on the go on it, is it really functioning ve... moreI do prefer E7 myself. I'm not the hardcore-programmer-kind-of-guy. The N900 is more like a smartphone. The phone application was a bit laggy and not so user friendly as I remembered. It's been more than two years since the last time using N900.
Like I earlier mentioned the hardware keyboard on E7 is better than I have ever tested on any (smart)phone. The Nokia Belle OS with all available updates (as Symbian) is not that bad..

portable009, 26 May 2013How is the Usb on the go on it, is it really functioning ve... moreYes, I can confirm USB-on-the-go works fine. I just tested with my E7. On the box you'll have CA-157 -cable between the phone and an USB-device. Also an USB-mouse works fine with E7, but as a reminder there is no way to charge the phone at same time with the USB-on-the-go.

portable009, 23 May 2013am confuse, don't know which to go for between nokia E7 an... moreN900 works fine, but is a bit slower than E7. It depends on what are you doing with the phone. They both might have problems with the charging USB port which is directly soldered to the circuit board. The charging port could harmed easily. N900 has a changeable battery, E7 has not. Some people think N900 is the only option, because it has a real Maemo 5 OS. You can install the real Meego OS to it. I have used them both and think that E7 has much better keyboard than N900.

Anonymous, 17 May 2013ihave a softwear problem when my phone start on and suddenl... moreI don't think that's a software problem. Symbian OS has an inner working mechanism of restarting itself whenever it encounters problems, heavy taskings, or as a mean to refresh the OS (to be stable again).
There are useful apps in Nokia Store for task management of your phone, it's called "Belle Extra Task Bars" and "Belle Extra Buttons" by Alshahawy.
