They have to consider developers. With this resolution, it means that you can also use tons of softwares available for S60v5 resolutions, opera mini and the rest of them. If they just come up with rash resolution and no software to support it, you guys will be the one to complain. Its high time we started to THINK!

Nokia are history now . . look at all their upcoming phones ... none of them have any sense in the real world .. I don't know what type of section is Nokia targeting .. I have been using e 52 since past an year or so where is e 53 which makes absolute sense ... I think so Nokia should take a cue from bb or Apple ... bb 9700 and 9780 are exactly same looking phones but the hardware and camera has been upgraded... performance of a phone is more important ... wake up Nokia or else you guys will just disappear ...

Someday when it reaches Symbian 4, and if ppl are super lucky, maybe it gets doubled. But i highly doubt nokia would ever do it.
More resolution would mean more work for the processor and ram and the GPU. Lesser battery and blah blah.
if the images look fine on the screen, the resolution is just bothering coz we know its low.
If it plays 720p, who cares what the screen resolution is.
The videos and everything for that matter will be beautiful.

With No Micro SD card slot, this phone wudnt be any good with 16Mb memory.
hThe card slot is not there because of security reasons as it is an E Series Phone.
For more storage, one can always use the USB on the Go and have as many memory keys as possible !!!
Cant wait to get this phone !!!

hey! the nokia site says tht e7 has 16 "MB" internal memory while here they say its 16 "GB"

Cos it is much better than N8 bes... morethanks 0v0 for you advice...i will wait for second batch for e7...maybe 1 or 2 month after it release. i already bought c6-01 too.love the clear black display.i believe e7 will be the same eventhough with 4 inch display.i dont know about the structure for e7 like tilt/slight/keypad/battery/sound/firmware/performance..there is not so much information about it on the net accept for quick review and blind comment.i believed it will be perfect as you mention.so just wait my friend...but trust me.n8 is marvelous...and one thing always playing in my mind.....WHY NOKIA POSTPONE THE LAUCH DATE TO NEXT MONTH WHEN IT ALREADY ANNOUNCE WILL BE REALEASE THIS 10TH DISCEMBER..not like c7 and c6-01 no postpone on lauching date of release....there must be something..just like n8..may be.....whose know.

nokia phones are easy to navigate and they had a superb design..but i think they need to focus on making the software stable on the phone.

I'm thinking that a screen of this resolution makes it easier to show 720p video as it is an exact 2:1 ratio when viewing in landscape mode. I don't think having an exact ratio gains you that much as I have viewed video on the Desire Z at various zoom levels. These zoom levels are not a perfect ratio between the number of lines used on the screen and the number of lines on the video.
