if anyone thinks that the specs are really weak then think again.. the special thing about Symbian is that it is a TRUE mobile OS.. it doesnt need as much specs as, say, android or WP7 but on the other hand can do the same if not more than them because it doesnt need 200mb reserved for the OS and it doesnt need 1ghz processor to to boot up in a reasonable amount of time or run graphics intensive up because the OS is bulky and needy of specs..
so just think about it..
y do u think that the European Commission invested 22 million Euros into Symbian?

2.Very true. My E72 has a better battery

4. How many really does use a phone to video chat? Even if they do, I doubt one needs such high resolution to view it on the phone's screen
5. I think you meant 1GHz, right? Well, Symbian is very efficient and doesn't need that high of a processor.
6. Sadly, I'll miss it too.
7. Weird thing is, Nokia always had such low res screens. When will they earn?
8. Nokia fully backs Symbian. What makes you think it'll ever switch to Android? And for heaven's sake, I would want my Nokia to run Android.

I bet if all BELOW LISTED loopholes been fixed,,then NOKIA E7 WOULD BE THE BEST COMBINATION OF CELLPHONE EVER LAUNCED TILL DATE.......................

TO EVERY ONE- PLEASE HELP
i am confused among these phones, n900 is great, open and above all a linux based os....WOW...
BUT
no support from nokia, camera has dropped framerates, no hd playback support, no usb on the go(i know hardware is there but software part is still missing)
and for the last, very few apps...
on the other hand there are n8 and e7 with new symbian os( better than s60 5th edition) gives a great camera in case of n8 and a good looking keyboard on e7 along with usb otg, hdmi output (WOW) , better apps, better touch screen (capacitive), voice guided free navigation for life time, more apps
+
they even get to get upgraded to symbian^4 os...:)
so am really confused....please help....

uhm.....in case you guys haven't notice..Carl Zeiss optics sucks. u should know better if you have used a lot of N-series nokia phones. compared to the other phones not using this technology. i've tried and compared them so i hope somebody will agree with me on this.

Bobby, 01 Nov 2010does this phone have a fm trans, important to me as i drive... morebobby im sure by now you've heard the terrible news the E7 doesnt come with the FM transmitter one of the reasons why now ive choosen to go for the N8 the other reason being an 8megapixel camera without Carl Zeiss optics.i thought Carl Zeiss Optics wouldve become a standard thing amonsgt Nokia cameras by now. regardless this phone is awesome just wish nokia couldve added those two items or just added a QWERTY keyboard to the N8

it will be available in USA before the end of the year. other countries will get it by early 2011.
