I have had the E70 for barely 24 hours. While I think the design and functionalities are good, I think the software is buggy. I have run into the following bugs already:
1) Under Security Settings (Tools > Settings > Security > Phone and SIM > Autolock period) you cannot set the autolock period. When you want to change it (from the default "None") it only presents you the prompt to enter the lock code.
2) As someone else already found out, the spreadsheet application has problems - You cannot change font colour or background colour. I also understand it has a problem accepting formulas.
I wonder how many more bugs there are. I suspect Nokia will be releasing updates to the firmware soon. But where I live in Nigeria, there are no Nokia agents that can upgrade the firmware for me. I am really disappointed that Nokia could release an otherwise excellent phone with such poor quality.

to all series 60 third edition users in some of the magazines it still states that it could be the end of the year before all apps for this edition are updated & modified to run on this spanking brand new third eition series 60...Just read the p990 report & now think this an even better option

Nokia seem to only support searching contacts by name and do not provide an option to search for other detail in the contact, e.g. company name - very important!!
Am I missing something?

i tried to upload a video clip on it... i converted it from avi to mpeg4... I sent it via bluetooth from my computer and the phone received it as a "text message" I tried to open it and it said unable to play file. What's wrong with it? Dev?
I tried to uplead the tomtom gps navigator software on it... it can't install it neither for some reason... maybe because its S60 V.3?

I discovered something wrong with the top row of numeric keys when the E70 is opened (i.e. using the qwerty keyboard)and am not sure whether my phone is faulty. When the "Shift" key is used in conjunction with any of the keys from 3 to 9 the wrong character appeared on the display. For example, "Shift 6" should give "&" but I got "%". "Shift 7" should give "*" but I got "&" and so on. Can someone with the E70 please try.
Thank you.

I just got mine today! Finally! It took awhile for me to set up a WLAN connection to my wireless network but all the time and the money to the phone is "WORTH IT." Worth every penny. Its the best phone i have owned. All the features; the flexibility is amazing. The video recording is awesome eventhough it lacks flash. I'm still playing with it right now(sending this post from the e70) and I've only scratched the surface... ANd NO LAGS! (knock on wood) Cheers to Nokia.
I'm installing a GPS software i'll let ya guys know what happens next.

Question: Anyone been able to sync the E70 with an Apple Powerbook (G4)? Even more important to me. Anyone been able to connect the phone via USB-cable to the Powerbook and use it as Wireless-Modem for Internet access? If yes. What are the requirements? It really seems like an outstandig phone. Me must have..........Greetz.

If you actually read up on the definition for a 3G Phone...it means that it is capable of high data speeds

wondering:
3G isn't just for video calls. 3G is actually the ability to transfer data up to 384kbps, which can support video calls. Since this is a business phone, 3G is being used here as a medium of faster internet browsing, downloading, etc. Video calls can also be done, but you will not be able to project yourself to the caller since there is no secondary camera.

@wondering
Thats a question you'll have to take straight to NOKIA.There are many phones with 3g without video call like umm..6151,6233,6234 and I can go on and on(well not really cos' thats as far as I know.He he..)There are a couple of SE and moto phones too.

Has anyone seen a black one available in the united states yet? I've been looking on ebay and everyone who advertises the black picture actually has the silver one, same with retailers. If I can get a black one I'll buy it but no luck so far :(
