I tried on it and its amazing phone.... Really a good multimedia application phone besides a business phone.

I tried to play Karaoke Tracks and kept it into background and then I tried to run
E-Recorder (Extended Recorder - this is a third party software and can record unlimited time in various format including WAV files).

While Karaoke Music tracks are playing it can record my voice into Phone alongwith with the Music tracks, finally the recorded file will be a combine of music + your own vocal.. A complete song in your own voice..

To all E-70 and S60 V.03 users you can download loads of applications (Some are free and some are demo or trial versions)

    To Archi,

    My software version is:

    1.0610.05.06
    15-05-06
    RM-10
    Nokia E70

It looks like my software version is one version earlier than Dev's, although it seems he is having the same problem.

Dodes anyone knows any Imaging software for Symbian S60 which can open *.TIF File application.? See most of the e-mails which we handle in business are scanned documents in *.TIF format and I need such application badly to view my attached files.

Noted your comments and I tried exactly same method as you mentioned.

At first I loaded to this very site (GSM Arena = http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_e70-reviews-1323.php) which loads very well and it showed about 120-125KB while loading, then I zoomed it and it went Highest Zoom In upto 125%, then immediately I pressed Goto : www.cnn.com, then it started loading CNN website and about 500 KB it took to load full page of CNN website. Now I didnot found any problem or message of memory shortage.

As regarding to Software Version, I did same way as you asked i.e. *#0000# and it displayed as below :

        1.0610.05.07
        30-05-06
        RM-10
        Nokia E70

Now I want to ask you that what is RM-10 ???
I can understand that first line is software version and second one is its version date.
But what is RM-10 ??? Please clarify.

Oe more test please Dev, which I would like to ask you:

Please go to some page which you know very well and works fine. Then zoom OUT as much as possible. And then load CNN.com ...

          Does it work then?

That is what I did in the shop the day before...

          Thanks and Best Regards:

              Hello EC!

Can you also please check your software version!?

              *#0000#

Maybe we will fond an answer there...
In the meantime I have found a discussion on a nokia developers site, discussing the problem, (some fellows see it, some did not) and there was no clear conclusion.

Maybe we can get to one here...

              Regards!

                        Hi

Can anyone advise how the E70 and the Desktop software compared to the Palm Desktop. My current 6230 oses PC Suite and while this is not a PDA I do not see PC Suite beeing very useful for PDA use.

to pzpj who left no name,,you are so wrong this fone is a good seller & has proved a huge improvemebt over the 6822 to which it replaces..and and as for the 3250 it has just sold its 1 millionth unit in 4 months if you go to that site there are pointers to where that info come from but ive seen it on 3 sites,,,if you get any mobile mags (im in uk)this device is proving popular not only in buisness but as an intermediate substitute email machine with fantastic web ability..i have gone for n80 as i like symbian but photo /video orientated,,,people who love symbian but are music orientated go for 3250 or n91...The symbian range is so good now but we are experiencing a bit of battery letdown on n80 but its benefits outway the battery problem...The e70 has the best screen on market with its resolution & 16 million true colours & on my n80 you get the chance to alter the font wen browsing & at its smallest MY GOD its clear as hell even if the writing is about 1 millimeter high..If the e70 is series 60 3rd edition you may be having theme & apps difficulties as software writers rewrite our favourite apps to this new 3rd edition..This is inevitable as the screen change is from 176x208 to 416 x 388 pixel or so

Just saw Dev's and Archi's posts and wanted to add that I have a 1GB card in the phone with plenty of space, so that can't be the problem.

Great phone! I switched from a Treo 650 and am happy I did.

One problem, however, is that I am occasionally having memory problems with the browser. I get a message that phone memory is full and to close other open applications and try again. However, there are no other applications open. I've tried clearing the cache, but this doesn't help. I've found that if you turn off the phone and turn it back on, the browser works fine. This is a hassle, though.

Has anybody else had this problem, and is there a fix?

I checked & browsed www.cnn.com website and it loads perfectly. however after going thru 3-4 pages in & in it shows memory full but still could work. I have 2 gb card.
by the way this message I am posting thru my E-70 phone.

For fairness I must note, that there might not have been a memory card in the phone in the shop. Could that effect the memory issue?

Anyone experienced the out of memory problem with the browser? Could it be that it was only the lack of memory card or the old software version?

Well, I think the E70 is Revolution in itself. Naturally it is a result of incremental development, but as a package it is amazing. I have no doubt that it is the trend of the future:
                                      1. Wi-fi
                                      2. Full keyboard
                                      3. "PC like" web browsing and office tools

                                      Integrated with

                                      4. A great phone with PDA functionalities
                                      5. The camera seems to be perfect for daily use. Anyone reporting on the video, playing back on a TV? (e.g.: from a laptop?)

When I looked at the screen yesterday I was wondering: Is this really a TFT? Where are the dots? I could not see the thin line between the dots!!! It is an unforgetable experience. It is like a little CRT screen... :-)

And when you press a webpage by minimizing it inside that tiny screen, you can still read the text! And if not, you can zoom the font size separately, so you see the screen with larger text...

A main need from my side is the ssh client which is available freely: Putty and MidpSsh. With the E70 you get a Fully functional Unix terminal with a keyboard and a perfect screen. It is a dream come true for me.

If the memory handling issue for the browsing is solved, I am buying one.

Anyone managed to download CNN yet?

                                      Regards!
                                      Archi

this is a great innovation for nokia but apparently sales-wise, this phone did not perform very well, it seems that samsung was right in going the direction of slider-type phone after years of making clamp or folded type phone. nokia maybe trying to be innovative or unique but it failed with this folding type phone just like what will happen to their twister phone, the nokia 3250.
