I tried to access Facebook on this handset using one of the leading network providers in the country, along with some other lower end handsets on other networks. The other handsets managed to access the website but not this one. Now I'm not sure if it was the network or the phone, but it was a major dissapointment since I absolutely love this phone. Now, my heart is left scarred from this faliure... :(

also you can now download the free satnav for it too thanks to OVI :)

Now you can deduce whatever you want to from the above.
But it is for E71 and has the AGPS (Assisted GPS) which works in almost most of the languages of the world, including Hindi. If you are worried about the three month life of the Nokia Maps then this is unlimited life maps. Hence you must install on your phone by firing you phone browser and accessing the GSMArena site and clicking on Opeel's link.

I have still have some quary...
Nokia Ovi Map Installed in my E71 from Nokia website as mentioned below:
(I got it by clicking from Map option-->then click About)
V3.01 09wk44 b01 MW OpenGL LM MN
Map version 0.1.23.112 OpenBitLM 6.22.5
My licences: Drive India Valid until 18/06/2010

But after clicking the link mentioned by Opeel the file saved as "nokia_maps_3.03_10wk11_b04_s60_3.1_rom.Nocs".
Seening the name it looks that it is V3.03.
Could you please confirm the map version ??
Opel mentioned in his earlier mail Mp version V3.01
"free nokia maps on the e71, came first, i have downloaded
the sis file installed ove v3.01"
The reply of this question is very important for me. If the map version installed in my E71 is older then I will download from the link mentioned by Opeel.

Why are you worried about the voice guidance lisence? You just make use of what is available today. After three months we will look for the latest facility available then. It is a long time. Much water can flow under the bridge in these three months.

Just the right person to ask as this morning itself I carried out the trial of ver 3.03 OVI maps. It is fantastic. I drove abot 20 Kms in Chandigarh with voice navigation and was guided very well. Although I had problems listening, probably because I am terribly hard of hearing and was not using the handsfree, but as far as the guidance is concerned, English, Hindi and very many other languages are available as a choice. And the maps are accurate too. The use of GPS is essential and hence does not ask for use of GPS. Just starts using it as a birth right. Just go for it blindly. Your phone has the capability of using it to its full potential.

I request Vinay (as he is one of the experienced person with prompt reply) to check the validity of voice navigation of the Nokia Ovi Map 3.02 for E71 (link mentioned by Opeel). As far as I know Nokia still ot has announced the Ovi Navigation FREE Licence copy for E71.

The Licence of Nokia Ovi Map (Voice navigation in drive mode) that I have installed from Nokia Ovi site (process in my earlier post) is valid for initial 3 months. So please inform whether the map link mentioned by Opeel is life time valid ?

I want to know whether the link given by Opeel is from Nokia or from other source...I mean whether it is from authentic source, not a crack version...!!
If it is a crack version then it will not be updated...
Please reply after checking the map in your E71...
