Rajesh, 01 Oct 2009Friends, I am an entusiastic gadget user. I will herein... moreRajesh, in singapore, its common to see Indonesian maids using hi-end phones, you think they want to look rich? come on! they just wear slippers, shorts and t-shirts to send their employers' kids to school,E71 is an old phone, so cheap now, with contract, sometimes cost nothing. Why restrict urself to comparing E63 and E71? These 2 phones SUCK! and yet without contract, still expensive, if i'm not wrong, SGD429 for E63 and SGD549, E71.
For the people living in your country to behave this way is kind of SICK...i mean, using hi-end phones to look rich.So ashamed, and to those who feel rich cause they own E71...DAS MU KREWAK !!!

I am having no luck transfering video files from phone to PC. In manual it refers to the opposite (transfer from PC to phone). Do I need to back files up on Micro SD first then transfer via card reader? I haven't tried that, it just occured as I was typing. Feedback please? Thanks.

                      Friends,

When you buy any new phone or Laptop or DVD play or LCD display or whatsover. You would like it to stay beautiful all the time.

There are people who don't care how ugly the gadget looks after some time of use and abuse. But they still buy the gadget which is beautiful out the box when it is new and they are ready to pay more for its looks. WHY DO YOU THINK THESE PEOPLE BEHAVE IN SUCH WAY.

We don't have to think about this now. But if you want your gadget to look good even after say about 2 or 3 months of use then these are the ways to find out whether you are buying the gadget which will stay beautiful long enough and make you proud to own it?

Lets take an example of a mobile phone. If you like the looks of certain gadget when you come across it, how do you know that it will remain beautiful long enough if you take a good care of it.

                      1) Avoid buying Glossy Piano Black body gadgets as they may not stay beautiful and may start showing tiny scratches after some time.
                      2) Avoid Glossy look metal gadgets.
                      3) Avoid cheap glossy plastic gadgets.
                      4) Avoid transparent look plastic gadgets.

Let me tell you why above mentioned gadgets wont stay COOL LOOKING GADGETS AFTER CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME.

You will agree that most of the time your mobile is exposed to moisture and dust. Here is what you do - Inhale breath and exhale on E71 near your mouth. You will see the vapour kind of blotch appearing on its body and stay there for few seconds till it vanish. Now when it is still there rub the body of E71 in few quick strokes. you will immediately see very very tiny scratches appearing on its body.

The reason is that the Glossy surface of E71 attracts and absorbs some part of moisture from your sweat or from nature and does not exhale it fast enough. Now is also attracts your finger prints and dust. When the mobile phone is rubbed accidently while using in maybe leather case or in you hand or on table, the dust particles strokes the body and create tiny scratches.

But on certain high quality plastic casings like on E63 or N73 or N95 this does not happen. This also does not happen on High quality brushed metals which you find on K800i, Samsung has many models in brushed metal, reason being the moisture does not settle long enough on this body and thus no scratches.

Hope this will help you to determine if your your gadget is Pro scratch, finger print or dust prone or anti.

Keep writing. Have a nice day.

Singh lover, 02 Oct 2009Rajesh, which phone is sexier in order of look, e72 or e71.... moreI can only reply to your question when E72 is out and in my hand.

I guess E71 will have a sturdier feel because from pictures of E72 it seems that back cover of E72 might not be as strong hold as E71. E71 has 2 metalic snap points left and right when you click in the back cover. But form pictures of E72 it seems that Nokia has given 1 snap point the tab made of hard plastic as seen on E52. It might lead to a loose or shaky back cover. Well its only my guess.

E71 definitely has a looks to die for. Beautiful, well crafted design. But only problem is that its steel Body is scratch prone.

I am eagerly waiting for E72. Final conclusion will be when E72 arrives.

hi guys,i am here just to share a few thoughts on the E71.i have used tonnes of nokia phones as well as other branded phones such as LG,sonyericsson,motorola,alcatel,sagem,,blackbeery,hp,samsung...u name it..i have used over 50 phones throughout my entire life, and im only 25..haha..lookin to reach the goal of 100...anyways u can say that i am a fan of technology..my current phone is the N82 (which i love so much)..i was going to buy the n97 but heard bad reviews bout it,so will wait for the n900.but 2 days ago i bought myself the white e71,love it!..ive used it before but gave it to my dad, however i couldnt resist so i boght another one..haha..however there are some things i frown upon on the e71-2.5mm jack, poor media support, and led flash(but thats why i have the n82)....i am a power user,so the speed on the e71 is very2 cool to have..it looks fantastic, upgraded mines to support office2007,even keep my CV's in my phone..its everything i need on the go,battery life-just brilliant!..i would recommend this phone to anyone!..its quite cheap nowadays anyway..

Milan, 01 Oct 2009Rajesh, can you please make a comparison in typing - e71 vs... moreKeyboard on E63 is very comfortable to use. Space bar key has been made shorter to incluse extra character key. You wont find any difficulty typing on it.

If you are used to a lager space key on E71 than it will take 1 hour of typing experience to master a new keyboard experience.

You can take it as a proof how good is E63 keyboard that Nokia has chosen E63 keyboard (and not E71) for their new Mega Release E72. Ofcourse it is further modified a bit. But its more or less the same format.

Nokia Phones Fan...., 01 Oct 2009Thanks Rajesh, All posts are going great. In one post you ... moreI am not aware about India.

In Indonesia most awaited phone by Nokia is E72. Which I believe is going to be a complete mobile powerhouse. It is built on foundation of E71 but a complete tansition in specification.

It will be equiped with 600 mhz processor. I tell you this processor is very fast when needed and it automatically steps down its speed to preserve battery. It is expected that the 1500 mAH battery will last for whopping 7 working days. It is also going to boast a 5 mpx camera with Autofocus. Doubled memory and Nokia is going to include with this set a sensored mouse. (D pad is omitted). This mouse is works exactly the way the touch mouse on your laptop.

Although this technology is not very new as it was earlier included with Samsung i8510, Omnia i900 and Sonyericsson included this touch mouse on its Xperia X1. Web browsing is going to be a breeze.

Also E72 has borrowed a keyboard format on E63 and have modified it further to suit larger fingers. Also is included 3.5mm music headphone jack and flashlight.

In Sony Ericsson the most awaited mobile phone is SATIO (IDOU). For the first time in the history of Sony Ericsson they are going to lauch a mobile phone built on S60 V5 (the operating s;ystem you find in NOKIA 5800 and 5530).

It includes the 600 mhz processor with dedicated multimedia graphic chip for gaming, Music and Camera boost.

This mobile will include a 12 mpx camera, huge 3.5 inch touch screen. This mobile is supposed to be a most powerful mobile.

Samsung is launching a few phones with 800 mhz processors. All are slotted for October and November launching.

                                      Keep in touch.
