Dear friends..i have a problem with my E71...when i shut it down and turn on in the morning the date goes 2 days more...exmple 7/9/09 to 9/9/09..
What is going on?

try watching them on your PC first. i mean copy to PC and if found OK then copy to the E71. it should not have happened but when it happens then you cannot do anything about it. Never misuse a card. its very delicate. probable you were trying a hot swap? the worst thing one can do to a card, although permitted by Nokia.

Hey guys! Thanks for you advice... But my wife an E-71 and we love it! But now we have a slight problem, she took her memory card from her N-82 cause it had all her pics and videos! But now each time we want to see them old videos all we get is the audio! Please please help me cause my wife is going to kill me...! Thanks and God bless you all...

Friends,
JoikuSpotLite v 3.0 is out today and can be downloaded from www.joiku.com. Infact you just select your phone, give your mobile number and select send. In a second your phone will receive a msg with the website address. select it and your download starts and then the installation.
Use your phone as a WiFi router and connect as many WiFi enabled devices as you want. Just remember the speed of the GPRS.

well yeah MR T you can say that
miss chubby the battery life on this unit is very good if you are getting two days then you should be thankfull try something other with data on all the time and running all those apps and see it crossing 10 hours without you running for a charging port

How average is your battery life?
My E71's battery life is quite short (I have to charge it every 2days) even though I don't run much application (I close all application after each time using), the phone call is less used, and even I'm not using it frequently. I wonder is my phone's battery has problem? Cause it's 1500mAh and is said that having good life. How about yours?

well mr vinay t you are right to some extent but there are two sides of a coin if you let go of the security then all the businesses will also get effected .... look at the government agencies like FBI AND CIA they have blackberries deployed only for the security purposes .... i am sure there must be someone keeping a watch over the communications via blackberry servers which is fine . I dont mind my emails being read and scanned because of national security it is only friends and work related mostly lol
back to the discussion only if nokia can integerate the email and im seamlessly like a blackberry then there is no looking back . Leaving the push technology nokia is miles ahead in making communication devices

Hey I need some help. I just got the E71x and when I try to use an mp3 song as a ringtone (using the "set as ringtone option" it keeps telling me that the file should not exceed 300kb. What can I do? Also why I am not seeing the music files in the settings to adjust the ringtones?

to add to what you have said, let me tell the visitors of this forum that www.getjar.com alone has about 4500 apps for E71. all types.
and I hate BB just because the makers of the so called business phone are helping the terrorist organizations with their security standard and not even allowing the victim governments to share the security codes. a terrorist with a BB is the deadliest combination.

do not use MSN or whatever and facebook individually when you can have one app that will run many more simultaneously with just one login. go to www.fring.com and download to your phone and off you go. it has most of the IMs and social sites. runs effortlessly, and will keep you online 24X7.

who are you fooling guys the kind of softwares available for nokia is insane you can use skype for free calling , blackberry cant even use the wifi for that and that just sucks email on nokia messaging is pretty good and you can get ten email accounts
again no skype and gps are a big downer on this blackberry its just good as a standard mailing and im device for which you have to buy blackberry services from your provider . on the other hand the nokia e71 works with any data plan and yes i would say again hassle free over free wifi too , which is a big problem setting up on blackberries because of the security standards and its a pain in the a**
moreover the battery backup on nokia is more than four times this blacberry with its much higher capacity battery
oh yeah and did i tell you side by side nokia e71 looks a million times better than this cheap plastic b.b .... metal all the way lol
i am not complaining because i have one b.b 8520 issued from work but but use the e71 on my personal line and as a navigation device and to make free calls over wifi to my friends overseas :)
hope this helps people deciding between the two phones post up queries and i will surely try

Do not try to do it yourself on the net. I did it with my E61i and lost it, but it was in the warranty period, so I got a new E63. get the firmware updated thru Nokia Care even if you have to pay for it. They use a box between the PC and the phone. The box allows the complete firmware to go to the phone after downloading complete SW. If you do it yourself then the PC keeps updating the SW as it keeps coming. One glitch and your phone has to be replaced. And only the required files are changed if you do it yourself. So I was told by Nokia Care people.

There you get a car-charger and a thing to put it onto the wind-shield for your car... but it's a bit more expensive than the "old" white and grey versions...
If you want to navigate with your mobile, than the black version is better for you...
If not, take the grey one... the white one will get dirty really fast... ;)
