Winura, 11 Aug 2009Don't worry mate. Made in Korea is perfectly safe.thank u winura.. a friend of mine told me that the difference is seen byt checking *#0000#.. this shows that the 'RM' in the korean made ones are smaller than those either made in finland or hungary.. what does the RM mean byt he way? and does that affect any function of the phone? will this work in london?

        thank you.

Even if you are not a businessmen the E71 will sure come on handy in daily life with good email features, comfortable keypad and suprisingly after the firmware update the GPS is also working really well. But if you're someone who like playing games you should look at the N79.

hi everyone and anyone who can help on this.. i just got an e71 and noticed that it is made in korea( not china).. does this mean that its inferior to those made in finland?

does it have the strength, features and specs the phone should normally have without any defects? eg wi-fi, radio, audio output, language,etc.. everything infact?

i want to know if to switch it or get a refund cuz i don't know if this is a real deal..

one more thing, will it work in london and any network connection decided on?

please i await your quick responses. thank you!!

e71guy, 10 Aug 2009i wan know wad is hack? i read bout it.. they said b4 u upd... moreLet me tell you the flip side of updating. I agree that one should always be current in SW and all that. BUT, there is a slight problem there. THe problem is the internet. Nokia allows you to update the phones via the internet. I used to have a E61i till end March 09. When I decided to update it thru the net. I connected and read the updating procedure and started off. After about 5 minutes the unwanted happened. The PC gave a msg about phone going dead and not to panic and all that nonsense. I tried the procedure n number of times. But no go was no go. I went to Nokia Care the next day as the phone was still under warranty for two more months. They said half an hour. Fine. after two hours they told me that they were unable and wanted to send the phone to their higher repair centre. Fine again as I had no choice. After 15 days they gave a new E63 in lieu. (I still miss E61i). Fine again. A week later my son saw it and took it away. Thats how I landed up in E71 forum as I bought E71. Am very happy. But have been advising all not to update themselves. Instead, bo to Nokia Care as they use a box between the phone and the PC. The box downloads the update and only if it is correct then updates the phone with no internet involved. Much safer. So I still advise you to be careful with the update. As the American saying goes "dont fix a thing unless its broke". If your phone is working well, let it work well.
Another bit of info for the forum. The new E63 that I got was actually a refurbished one. The Sales and Service departments do not have any connection. They dont mix up their phones. The service people remove good working parts from the likes of my E61i and produce a newish device. Actually I am the looser at the end of it all.

Specially cheap electronics. And then there is nothing you can do about it except to throw it in the garbage can.Money is always hard earned, so spend it wisely.
