I got my E71 yesterday from a service provider, its a great phone, but the E71 headset speaker were faulty out of box, so i go back and changed it for a 2nd new one, tested and the same problem, looks like there is a faulty batch of E71's in JHB. Please check and do a test call before you get one, but the rest of the phone is a pleasure to have.

Ethen, reset your 71 (*#7370# dial)
then just insert your sim card and the phone will configure itself automatically. If it still fails, call up the 3 operator and they will send you sms for configuration. Nothing frustrated. Cheers!

Hi there,
I just bought a Nokia E71 from the optus shop, and the unit got Optus internet settings. I am using a 3 mobile sim card in it, and I can not configure the Planet 3 settings, and I can not use the internet on 3 network due to this.
Does any one know how to fix this or do i have to flash the 3 software into it. If so who can do this. I am really confuse, since I bought this unit outright to use the email, and the skype on 3 network.
plesae help - urgent.

I cant believe you guys haven't mentioned the absolutely GREAT VOIP feature built into this amazing phone!!! Surely someone must be using it??

omg. thats the exact same problem im running into. i really want to know if there is a solution to this dust issue. plz some tell me if there is a solution other than removing the top frame like suggested in other threads. i think thats just pointless esp when you spend over 300 bucks for a nice phone. plz some tell me!!!

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970If you do some checking, there was a problem with the microphone on the E90 that may have already been corrected with the newly-manufactured models. If you manage to get one that is 'old' stock, you may encounter the same issue.

Hi guys,
I know how to use the barcode and understand its process. But, has any one actually set it up in their business and could they give me an example of how/when they used it... or if they tried it on a product wat information it gave them back (currently if i scan a 1D or 2D b-code it will give me where the product has come from and its barcode number lol which is no good obv)
