Prats, 24 May 2009I just bought E71 a week back. today while trying to accept... morewhat you experienced,usually occurs if the phone has multitasking going on & you recieve a call/sms.Solution:make sure u switch off all running applications in background before u keep ur phone back.on keeping the HOME key pressed,it shows all running app.just keep switching them off using the Backspace/Correction key till only Home Screen icon remains.
Make it a habit,u won't have problems.getting all sms deleted means a virus entry.can change the memory in use to Phone/Memory Card in Message Settings,if still messages not present,it's a virus attack,nothing else.

I just bought E71 a week back. today while trying to accept an incoming call.. it hung and no button was working nor i could take the call..is it common?and one more thing happened wen i restarted the phone all my messages which were saved in my memory card was deleted automatically..pls help..thnks in advance..

Hey ya ppl!!
I just bought my third Nokia e71 black color.It's just an awesome piece of technology.This being my 3rd piece,one thing's for sure,I'm addicted to it.Till date,no oTher handset's even closer to it.
I'm using this model since August,2008.My wife's got the white one & sister has grey one.Even in the premium segment there's no comparison to it designing,performance or functionality.
I'm a surgeon by profession & use my handset for sms,calls,gaming,watching Youtube videos,movies,even & the piece hardly hangs or gives trouble.
My 1st piece was destroyed due to water,2nd got stolen but I'm determined to keep this only model.The battery lasts around 2days,I never switch off,heavy usage with internet via WiFi.
It takes all with a breeze.typing's even better than my e90.this too I'm typing with my E71.
To tell u frankly,buy from an authorised dealer,keep network mode to GSM as no 3G in India,check battery for sticker with Nokia authentication.enjoy!!

Ahmed Shehatah, 22 May 2009i want to active the autofocus option in my camera but i ca... moreyea just put it on camera mode and before you take the pic just press number 2 once and it will auto focus for you then take the picture by pressing the center button

Faloda, 21 May 2009I like this phone, have used it for about 2 months, but the... morethats impossible...i have one..i charge mine every 2 days...i use it everyday and every time playing games...and listening to mp3....may be u have to diss charge it complely and then put it on charge full then turn it on..ok..bcp this is the bcp life time battry i seen..i use everytime nokia...but this battry is the best...

Bad enough to make you hate mobile phones, very complicated and hard to use, lags alot, Battery is like its not there!! some of the menue options don't even make sence!! this phone is designed for emailing however good luck trying to set it up!!. I'm a firm beliver thenology should be working for us not us working for it and having a hard time to use it, unless you have a master in telecomunication technology do stay away from this phone.

i have used it for a while now. let me tell this is the best set ever!! e71 has all the stuff you need n man what a design!! 10 on 10 set!! if you are confused abt buyin e71 then trust me n buy it now..

More blurb from me. It's a dream to setup Google mail on it or any other internet email. It retrieves the setting automatically for you - all you have to to input are the authentication details (un and pw). Mail for Exchange is a pleasure too. Must also mention that I recorded a conversation from the pocket of my cargo pants between two people standing about 3-4 feet from each other with the pocket closed.... Unbelievable quality and saved the file an 8Gb microSD I added to the device when I bought it. Not sure if the camera sensor is CCD or CMOS but can say that Nokia should have a look at the camera sensor from the iPhone as it is exceptional (must be CMOS)....Not to say the E71's camera is bad. It isn't, but the iPhone's is VERY good.

Excellent device. Comes with Blacklist software standard. Battery lasts 4-5 days after having performing initial charge of 16 hours with cell off and running it on GSM instead of 3G all the time. Big screen and keypad preferable to Blackberry versions up to Bold version. Like the 'heartbeat' sensor. Nokia replaced the USB ic at no charge after a spike nailed it at some stage during a sync or transfer (usb icon would not appear when attempting a Pc Suite sync). All sorted now. Highly rcommend this cellphone. Dropped this cell on it's bottom from 4.5 feet by accident (it can slip out your hands easily if you don't have a BodyGlove for it). The cell carried on working irrespective apart from a small scratch on the body at the bottom. Impressive!

excellent phone,I use in the last year sony p1i,n95,n82,n95 8gb,htc diamond and this is the best,maybe the picture callity is not very hight

Fatic, 21 May 2009how about gps? can this mobile phone using garmin mobile gps?yes the gps works just fine and great and easy to use too with GP! you have to download the google map to see dhaka streets and landmarks. go to "google" search, type googlemap, click on first link download and install.
