Mine did that the day after I first charged, but since I changed it, never did that again.

does your sim automatically adjusts/detects message centre? I remember way way way way back in the 90s for digital phones, the primitive way was we had to input actual message centres one by one till we had about 3 then when messages fail, we change to another centre

am a heavy user on videos and sms, so far there are 2 bars or so on the battery lines
go to an authorized Nokia tech center, or better yet, is your phone from a authorized Nokia dealership?

sleek, stylish, easy to use after some practice with the QWERTY and most of all, two hands are better than one in texting LOL

Hello Everyone: Wanted to know if this product will work well when hooked up to a Apple Mac for email. Mail for exchanges works well with a Windows XP and Vista. But I now need to purchase another handset and connect the same to my Mac computer to access my email when outside the office.

i got the e71 and its absolutely awesome, my only thing is it always searches for WLAN networks how do i stop it, but other than that top class phone.

I have an E17 which, when used for even 10mins on Voice call, it starts getting hot. Has anyone else face a similar problem and also, anyone with a suggestion on how to over come this problem?

Hi all, please help, I have a Nokia E71 and I have a problem with the date.The date is going byitself foward by 2 days ! EXAMPLE today is 15th it goes to 17th .. Is there a solution for my problem.
Does someone had a smiliar problem.

There is no problem with the battery i m using this handset since from 5month's but never faced the problem about the battery
I have only a Complain the Camera is not good
Otherwise there is No Problem...

To ALL the people who complains that their E71's battery run out too quickly:
Do you have GSM mode selected only OR you have both DUAL mode selected (GSM/3G) ? If you don't use 3G then there's no need to have it enabled. That decreases battery life.
Also, you can try setting your OPERATOR MODE to Manual instead of AUTOMATIC. When it's set to AUTOMATIC it scans for your network continously.
Also ensure that no programs are running in the background, not even contacts (smile).
Some 3rd party programs run in the background but doesn't show in the taskbar. Anti-virus and blacklist programs which block unwated calls. If you installed any programs like those beware.
Ensure that settings like WLAN AVAILABILITY is set to OFF as this scans for WLAN networks every second or so.
And as I mentioned in my last post...if you have a dedicated Wi-Fi router at work or home lower the TX POWER LEVEL to 4mW or even 10mW. ONLY use 100mW if you are picking up feeds on the road or from other homes in your neighbourhood while you are in YOUR house.
Other than the aforementioned, you can try discharging your battery completely until the phone cannot turn back on and charge it overnight. Repeat the process once or twice more thereafter.
If you all follow my steps I'm certain you will see improvement in your battery life.
