Latest Firmware 110.07.127 9th Oct 08 has done nothing but mental satisfaction.
Got Steel White now, price still 400$ but Cam ad Batt plus most software not compat even themes. this is FP 1 grade but made n China has ruined expectations.
N97 must be Finnish nothing less even price above average

Nani, 11 Jan 2009Hi everyone, does this phone work with MAC? Thanks! Yes, just download the iSync plug in from the Nokia website and it will sync with iCal, Address Book etc... no probs.

Tell me something does anyone knows how the camera on the E71 matches up against the camera on the E70? I have a E70 and I love the camera on it. The image quality is great and recording videos being able to zoom fairly smoothly while recording. So if anyone has experience the two please let me know what you think.

very good phone. just the power button looks really cheap. they should have chosen a completely different colour.

im about to buy this phone but im unsure if this phone will work with my 3 mobile sim card, even if i buy it from another company such as optus, vodaphone out right,
i get mixed answers from phone company's, and would love to kno 1st hand

This mobile phone is just great. quick Office applications, nice Keyboard, solid. sound quality is perfect except the camera, didnt like it that much, it's a good replacement for the E61.

I am using SGH-F480 currently and am thinking o... moreMIMI, first of all the E71 is a smartphone while the Samsung F480 isn't. This means the E71 is capable of doing a lot more than the F480.
Best of all the E71 have Wi-Fi (WLAN) which means that you can get internet access without going through your cellular provider.
You can use the Wi-Fi to make VOIP calls via Fring or an SIP provider. VOIP means Voice Over Internet Protocol and doesn't need a SIM card to make the calls. If you use MSN you can make VOIP calls to them via Fring.
I could go on and on. Just get the E71.

just got e71 a week ago, love the build, after following gsmarena, and suggestions from you guys .. very solid phone.
i wish there are more US oriented software/icons (where you click and launch the app/site) available for US consumers, like weather.com, wsj.com, ft.com
Few questions
i) i read about good battery life about e71 in this forum, but battery on my e71 last about only 2 days, well i do some web surfing and occasional gps. i turned off the wifi scanning, and turned it on when needed. i was wondering if there is other options that i need to turn off to slow down the drained on the battery. I heard the 3G sucks up lots of battery power, any idea of to turn it off ? i looked, cant find it.
ii) is there a push email functionality for Lotus Notes ? or manual synchronizing functionality with Lotus Notes.
iii) any suggestions on free symbian app ? i am looking for a better dictionary.
any suggestions will be appreciated. thanks

Lot of Software problems with this phone...
1)This phone is a pleasure for typing emails n Messages but Please refrain from buying from the Middle East market as the phone comes with the English/Arabic keyboard which makes typing HELL !!!As the English letters are in Blue, recognizing them is quite a strain on the eyes.
2)Please dont upgrade to version 110.07.127 dated 09-10-2008 which is available on Nokia website...
It has lots of bugs mainly making your Memory card useless...
a)U will not be able to refresh music from the music player.
b)U cannot set ringtones or calender tones to your loaded music files on the memory card/phone except from file manager.
c)Gallery does not open anymore.
3)Very few free Themes available which are suitable for E71
The Build quality of the phone is Superb although and you can even play songs while talking to any1..Both parties can hear the song..Quite cool...

If I buy E71 Nokia US version, will it have any difference with Nokia Asia Pacific version? Will any of the feature will not be able to use in Asia for E71 US version? Someone please advise!!

This phone is one of the best phone that i'v used. i love it. More than the stupid Iphone i had. Qwerty Keys on this thing works like a charm. simple but packs a lot of bang for your buck. trust me. Symbian OS is the best OS for phones. Love Nokia!!
