I have already referred to Nokia Care, the camera is a great disappointment. The 6210 I bought at the same time has excellent quality pictures and video. I have seen other comments, however, E71 ought to have a better performing camera on par with other similar MP capacity Nokia cameras. Otherwise, it is not worth the money and hype.

it's probably one of the most gorgeous phones out there. All metallic, sturdy and with a brilliant display. The only drawback (though, some would say, it's actually a plus) is a smaller display. A phone of this class deserves at least 2.6 inches. However, even with the smaller display this guy beats Curve or any variation of Palm. Honestly, plasticky Curve feels cheap, even Blackberry's 88 series look cheaper than this fine lad. My wife, who's not into smartphones ("because they're bulky" is her reasoning) immediately fell in love with this phone, it's really sizzling hot.

                        To SAM,
You are not correct by saying this phone is not made in finland. My E71-2 clearly said on the back made in Finland, and that is the original one you should be buying, anything else is wack!

Also, E71 does not need BB connect. BB connect is push email, and E71 has push email and more office/corporate applications than BB bold!

Yes you can copy/paste on the E71!

If you are not happy with the camera and video, then go buy yourself a N-Series! This is an E-Series for business people!

QWERTY pads are insanely sturdy and very impressive. Find grab and i was typing fast without any error...

Improvements: Could use more pixel display although it is 16M color TFT. Could improve camera and video frame rate, but not a must!

Great features: You can assign what type of service (like push email etc...) for each email account you set up seperately and you can also choose how to connect to each one differently :)

E71 HAS VPN Intranet connect!! SICK :)

crown, 18 Sep 2008I just bought a Nokia E71 this week Monday, kindly enlighte... moreBlackberry Connect on E71- Nokia announced in late July/early August they have dropped their relationship with BB; so no BB Connect available on any of the new devices (inc E71). Look for a software/firmware update- they have just announced new/improved connectivity to mail apps.

Can any user tell us whether speed typing is possible on this phone? Are the keys tactile and responsive? Texting is a major reason for a QWERTY.
Furthermore spell check for SMS, e-mail and internet posts is important. Nokia should do some serious work on this, especially if the device is to be used by professionals.
The browser should have an option that allows for copying and pasting sections to other folders.
If Nokia is to implement video recording in a classy phone like this one, they better make it VGA @ 30fps. Anything less cheapens the phone. I was disappointed to see Nokia have downgraded the spec. Look, I would rather have a slightly thicker phone-eg 14mm- with 30fps than a biscuit thin phone with third rate 15fps!!
As for screens I think the elder brother E90 has the best screen in the mobile phone market. The 4 inch diagonal allows the whole width of a web page to be viewed without scrolling. Thus the E71 and most others become an exercise in managing what you have.
Has anybody tried Nokia's own e-mail solution for E71? If so, is it any good?? I understand that the E71 does not support Blackberry Connect.
The choice I have to make is between Blackberry Bold, E90, E71 and HTC Touch Pro. It's a tough one!

irfan, 18 Sep 2008please can some one let me know the difference between made... morehi irfan,
i too had the same query before buying this phone , and learned that the nokia e -71 and e- 66 are made in china and korea, hence the korean one is the one you should be looking for as it is manufactured under the fin guidance and the same is mentioned on the box as well. so you will not see a made in finland nokia for these two models.
the other thing being that in india you will not get the korean one, if you want you can contact some one in dubai for the same , i did the same in my case. all the best.

i just bought this phone and i think im starting to fell in love with it. actually this is the first time i bought a phone with wifi and im really enjoying it. the speaker is also very clear. i would agree that the camera is not that good compared to others with 5mp. but if you really want good quality pics, dont buy a phone, buy a digicam. hehe! this phone is great!
