The Navigator programme in the 6110 Navigator requires NO subscription. It works out of the box. ( It also includes Nokia Maps as per other GPS enabled Nokia handsets).

It functions better than Nokia maps too - check out GSM Arena's review for more info

So your saying that the Navigator performs better than Nokia maps?

    DO NOT even think of buying the NOKIA E71.. its the SADDEST phone I have even come across. I had been a very faithful buyinr of Nokia Phones. I must have bought 15 phones so far.. all Nokia. But I think its time to change and switch to someting better.
    E71 is not worth a penny. Nothing written about it is TRUE. DO NOT go by the technical specifications written on the net, its all CRAP.. ABSOLUTE CRAP.
    If U want to waste your money, please go buy the Nokia E71.

    Its Camera is SAD.
    Its Batery backup is pethatic.
    Its Applications do not work.
    Its Memory card gets corruoted for no reason.
    Overall its a Pethatic Phone.
    Simply WASTE of money.

      hey all u anti nokia people,,, heres an answer to all ur queries n i mean the E-71 its is fantaboulous.. switch to nokia 4once n use d E71 u vil not regret.. the bsttery is great good internet speed n nice music player(hndsfree sucks though).Close 2 accurate gps n a lot swifter than other nokia phones apart frm the E51 n E66

        i just bought dis pone in malaysia for RM1899.wow...i am impressed dude...it is amazingly fast....so light yet so attractively striking...good work nokia...i wish for a touchscreen tho....but dis is one of the greatest fone ever made by nokia....

          I just noticed my MMS does not work on my new E71!!! i am with orange in switzerland. does anyone have the same issue??

                    To All of you who helped me answering my questions.

                    I am just a little confused with Tim post.

                    As he said the navigator does not require any subscrips and performs better than nokia maps.

                    I am going out now. I could come back with the N82 will let you guys know.

                      Battey usage for me is about 2.5 days before it dropped to 2 bars. I have set the email on auto-retrieval every 2 hours, made some calls about 90mins in all, took 5 pics (poor quality photos indeed), browsing the net of about 2 hours on 3G/HSDPA, about 20 smses. Network is set on Dual Mode. Quite impressive as long as the performance is concerned.

                      If the quality of the camera is higher then it will be great.

                      Does anyone has anything tips or tricks to share?

What u can try to do is to take out the battery for about 15min then reboot it. According to Nokia, this should clear the phone temporary memory.

                          This is a good phone, 1 to 10 its 8.5 and I typing this comment through the E71 phone web browser and with wifi.

                          I like the looks, easy to type with one hand, different story with e61i which wider and that's my ex phone before upgrade.

                          GPS is good, its can measure exactly the speed of my car (though mapking still the best in windows mobile version), free of charge? not really because u need connection through 3G/HSDPA to fast search location (small kb of usage, so really2 cheap) and everything works well but 1, the smart input in home screen (what the f**k), it happen to almost all asian region phone. I've read the news, said that wait for next firmware upgrade.

                          The second thing I hate is the quality of camera capture, its worse for 3mp caliber.

                          But all the function are superb. Not slow no more like its brother e61i

                          Hope it help. Oh ya the battery.. Damn good.. I think it never drop bellow the last 2 bar.. Till i give up use it. It'll stand 4 days, or 3 with normal use. (almost the same but stronger than my E61i which will stand to 2-3 days of normal use).

                          If somebody experience bad battery, I think u've got a bad copy of battery or bad copy of phone chip inside, don't blame on the overall device, not all having a bad copy (include me and everyone that not complain)

                          In my N95, GPS is hungry power, so it will eat the battery faster, but not in this phone.

                          With this E71 I'm using GPS for almost an hour but it only take 1 bar of battery sign, it also drop after I use it for accepting incoming call for a couple minutes.

                          So that's the judgment come, hope it help makes decision.

                          Just one thing.. Bad Camera and absence of Smart dialing , can the firmware fix it? hope..

                              since the topic has got out of the track i should also mention that the navigators DON'T have WI-FI.

                              so i see no compelling reason why someone should go for the navigators while they can have the navigation facility on almost all S60 v3 phones which are compatible with nokia maps and also have WI-FI.

                              and ARTIF, you're welcome mate. :-) we certainly do learn a lot of things from these forums.

                                  That’s true battery is very poor that’s totally bluff about battery timing Talk Time 10.hours that’s totally bluff

                                  I belongs to Construction Business and I m using this set since from 5.days and its never goes upto 3.hours just by making calls
                                  I never listen the songs I never played the games but just works on Office Files twice ya thrice in a day but My daily use is about 4 to 5.hors I m totally disappointed by the performance of its battery

                                  2nd Bad Thing
                                  Its Keypad I have Dark one Dark Grey the Keypad is also Dark Grey and the Alphabets r in Blue Color some time not seen in Brightness have to rotate the set for some time to understand the letters that’s bad thing

                                  I got that set because of its battery timing but its disappointed me and the Second thing which made sad that’s its Keypad Dark Grey and Blue Alphabets

                                  Mine one is Made in Korea

                                      I bought this phone about a week ago and I simply love it! Texting is great and the battery life is quite excellent (although I'm coming from a Samsung E840... and the battery was quite average or even slightly below with that model).
                                      Just one thing: I can't figure out how to change the volume of the tones. For example, I like the volume of my ringer... but what if I want my tone for text messages or e-mail notifications to be quieter? I can't figure out how to change that. Other than that... I abolutely LOVE this phone =)

I'm using a Nokia E51 and i use nokia maps in it. All i did was download the map i wanted via Nokia Map Loader and downloaded the voice i wanted to hear. and presto! i get voice navigation for free.
