I see that the Nokia E71 has HSDPA 3G 850/2100 for Euro/Asia version.

Will this version work on the Canada Fido/Rogers 3G network since it has the 850 band?

E71 Review: I visited AUR Telephones on Tottenham Court Road, London (UK) and amongst all the chubby ugly devices was a brand spankme new E71. And it is, as you will soon behold, the most beautiful mobile device bar the original iPhone - and perhaps nicer? The battery was not charged. (If you want an operational review, see YouTube.) Anyway, I got to, uhm, have a good 10 minute fondle. It feels perfect (much narrower than its previous incarnation), the keyboard is ideal for single or both hands typing. It is half as thick as most typical phones, 1/3 thick as some others and the fit and finish is outstanding. (This one was graphite.) I had to break the news to the man behind the counter (before he got it from the cabinet) that I was due on upgrade on Vodafone so would not by parting with 399 of the Queens finest recycled. (Their price today.) Worth it if you don't mind a small screen and 2.5mm audio jack, the only let downs. Screensize wise, I don't think it will matter if you do as I do and use an EEE PC or other UMPC as your mobile multimedia / web machine. The keyboard blows all Blackberries away and is very well designed thanks to its simplicity. Nokia really thought about the E71. Can't wait to actually see one switched on! I believe they are due out on the networks later in July, probably around the time of the new Blackberry Bold - so it is going to be E71 vs Bold vs iPhone vs HTCs latest. Let battle commence!

Winura, 03 Jul 2008try these links. http://www.e-series.org/archives/30 ... moreThose links are for the E65 and E61i, where is the proof that the E71 has bb connect? Just because the previous E series phones have it does not mean that the E71 has it.

welcome to this forum. Please write a first-hand user review on your experience and opinion about E71. *How is the keypad for FAST-TYPING? *And how good (or average/bad) is the camera, if compared with the camera of nokia N73?
At this moment you are among those lucy few who are privileged to possess E71! So please... Thanks a lot in advance!

I wonder why Nokia did not place a 3.5mm headphone jack in this device. One has to now use an adapter if unrestricted access to the plethora of headphones is needed.
Nokia craftily bypassed the need to increase the screen's resolution to VGA by reducing its size compared to the E61i. For a 2.36 inch screen QVGA res is adequate.
I noted that the processor is no longer dual but in fact single although the clock rate has increased. It is interesting that their most sophisticated phones have dual processors. Mmm...there must be a good reason why they decamped!!
The new size is reminiscent of the Blackberry Curve but Nokia have even made the E71 narrower and thinner. A great feat indeed, for now it will fit more comfortably in the hand and is thus suitable for one handed or two handed use. Yes I love the design! Furthermore if the QWERTY is tactile and responsive it will be a joy to use.

Now I´ve just my E71 for about a week, and it´s greet or absolute assume!!!
Size, looks and it has a very solid construction, no squeaks when playing around.
I hade more phones that I can count and this is one of the best.

I thought it looks good on pictures, but the surprise when I opened the box and looks
at it!! Wow it´s looks like a smart Nokia 8800!!

And again, to correct mr. anonymous, What a coincidence?!?! my nokia e51 is a middle eastern version too. i bought it in dubai around dhs1,300 wen it came out. Funny though, i couldnt find or see a front video call camera. This will be my last post regarding this issue because you, mr. anonymous is wasting everyone's time talking about rubbish. and there are no other versions of nokia e51 with a front videocall camera. anyone else can help me support this fact.
