sk, 13 Jul 2010again thanks. by the way what do you think which is a bett... moreLet me put it this way...NMS on E-72 is good but if you want to be alerted on all emails (NMS on E-72 has only two on the home screen rest you have to check periodically) and have more than 2 accounts active on your device plus a good Facebook client which alerts you on every notification BB is the one for you.But if you can check other mails periodically, need an open uncomplicated system with open access and utility of bluetooth and wifi, plus better camera, better radios(HSPDA/HSUPA); streaming facility on your internet connection(BB does only on WAP and incurs extra costs!!). Better internet speeds...even on EDGE...Uncomplicated life and customizing ability plus the sturdiness go for E-72. Mind u I find the E-72 keypad much better than curve series and comparable to Bold series. E-72 browser plays embedded videos too. Has proper FM radio (That does not stream on WAP)and you won't have to pull your hair out to use wi fi .

Summing it if messaging is not of utmost importance to you it is E-72 all the way. E-72 does nearly everything BB does albeit on an internet connection but BB can do only 60% of what E-72 can do. Personally I have the cheapest possible BB (Curve 8520) that too b'cos all the top brass in my company is provided one for sole reason of BB messenger as few of us travel abroad frequently. Again this is not a big deal if one has Gtalk or other im clients plus skype..that works so well on Nokia that I often speak to my relatives in US on skype for hrs just on an unlimited Idea Internet Rs. 399/month. I have given nearly all the pros and cons you decide. BB does have better messaging however the mails are delivered both on BB and NMS in realtime...

this model has lot of complaints compared to 71. phone shows full signal, but caller gets off messege. sometimes doesnt ring when a call comes. compass seldom works. GPS doesnt pick signal. None of these complaints are consistant & service guys are not able to do much.

sk, 12 Jul 2010hey thanks for your information. also i want to ask that t... moreIt is an easy process once you have the latest OVI suite on your PC( Can be downloaded from the Nokia site). You just connect the phone in pc suite mode and click the check update on the ovi suite on your PC. It will identify the update if any , both for the OVI suite as well as the device and guide you step by step to install the same. It also creates a backup of the phone and if asked please do click yes for the same. All happens itself and all you have to ensure is that the power is on on your pc(so you need a juicy UPS or better use a laptop) the internet, that too a BROADBAND is connected and DO NOT DISCONNECT the phone till the process is on....still if you fear the first time jitters..go to the nearest Nokia care they will do it for you...by the way I have updated 2 ROMs( for Win Mo handsets) and two firmware updates(on E-71 and E-72). It is easy

                    Hi all.
I have just bought Nokia E 72. While writing a message, I noticed that when I press the '?' key, the character displayed on screen is not ?. It is displaying some other character. Is the problem with my phone or there is something I am unaware of??

Using it for 10 days (alongside my N86 and k800i) I can say it is not so bad, however quality of nokia has slipped over the years way beyond its reputation (before i used a 6510 until 2005). It is ok as a business phone (provided by the company), as i dont need games and stupid apps like youtube, facebook and so on. messaging is convenent, file reding and organisation capabilities adequate, and apps like card reader are a real bonus for time strapped execs. battery life in active usage is ovestated- 2 days is the absolute maximum, and data usage is uncontrollable. GPS will not start unless u connect to network- sometimes i doubt it has any capabilities beyond generation of huge data bills.
overall, my other phone n86 seems a lot better in many areas- screen, features, memory and build quality.
even so, the SE k800i after 2.5 looks so good, i doubt any of nokia phones would look so well in 2 years time.

rose, 12 Jul 2010does the scroll key flash a light always if so why is it bc... moreThe light flashes all the time. If it flashes slowly, then its just to show that the phone is still on (breathing loght). If it flashes fast, then it means that u have a missed call or sms. This feature can be disabled in the settings

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2010I need to know...which is the better phone Nokia E72 or N97?N97 mini doesnt has good battery (max 2 days for medium usage).
N97 has good battery (3-4 days)
e72 has amazing battery and more "professional" look and apps.
If you use more calendar and buisness aps then go to e72.
If you wanna more multimedia use go for N97.
